pop the dash off, there should be instructions on doing so in the how-to section, and if not, i know biohazard has done it

.....mmmm if there really is space under there.......

cut part of the dash a little bigger than the size of a 7" lcd screen. make it so you can push a button and a motor raises the screen attached to the piece of dashboard just like a firebird style headlight..... that would be so badass and discrete as hell....

any thoughts?

Hmm....

That's pretty damn cool. I wouldn't imagine this project to be easy, tho.

Good luck with that one. Would be a very good idea if you could pull it off.

...as long as there is space, its not a very complicated process.... just need a motor, some wires, a switch, a few gears, and a little work

**edit** heres a cheesy picture i drew... i swear its cleaner looking in my head!

You'd need even more space for that design to work. Something that flips up would use less space and be easier to do.

The center vent ducts are right there . How intrusive they are , I dont know , but that is where the ducts for the center vents are . You can take the top dash off without removing the entire dash . The top is like a cap . Take the A-pillar trims off , take the header panel off ( the strip that follows the base of the winsheild ) , remove the gauge cluster trim bezel , all the silver bezels , both caps of either side of the dash ......then u should beable to take off the upper dash . From looking in the service manual , its only held on with the same style clips that the silver trims are held on with .

Thats all the info I got . I looked into because I plan on putting something there too , its not a DVD screen though .

**Now that its cold outside ....If u do this , make sure the inside of your car is nice and warm . The clips are buff , and cold plastic crack is alot more prone to crack .

If you could pull that off cleanly that would be absolutely sick. Good luck with that tho.

I dont know if this will help, but here's a breakdown of some of the dash. It dont show the air ducts though. And the picture that shows the air outlet ducts dont show the dash. odd
