why would I miss driving the SS when I get to drive this instead.......
not going to lie, i miss the speed/handling and stupid power from the SS.. but for a college commuter car and all around beat the living crap and not care type car... the cavalier has its awesome high points. plus it rides smoother and quieter

now if this was a "who else misses riding their motorcycle?" thread i'd be all over it!
but my cobalt currently just sits in the garage 3/4 days a week and only gets driven to the gym and for little errands so it's not too bad, it hasn't even seen snow this year yet since i have no reason to be out in it unless it's an emergency

Totally miss it. Miss the performance, handling, gas mileage and the stereo! Is it worth keeping the salt off it? Hell yes! Plus putting it on storage ins. saves $$$. Gives me time to work on it too. I put on the K&N SRI and got some clay bar and ordered some turbo wax to try out. I'm pretty tempted to break it out on those days when the roads are clean and the sun is out though.

I bought my car in September 2010 with 3000kms on it. I don't think the guy that had it before me installed it because he had it from April to the beginning of September. It could have been dealer installed or possibly factory installed.
I didn't even know it had one until I went to put my K&N Typhoon on. Pulled off the stock air box and seen a cord tucked away underneath. Went my entire first winter without knowing about it! I assumed it was an oil pan heater since everyone says you can't fit block heaters on them but the coolant will be at +20C when it's -40 outside.

Yea. It's my first brand new car and my biggest investment so far. I have under 40k and it will be 6 yrs old in may. I want a new ride so bad but my retail value is **** and all the money I have into my car I just have to keep it. It's like show room condition but it is still a cobalt in the eyes of a dealer
