Once you go above 99 mph the onboard computer relays this information to the engine which in turn causes a fuel cut off resulting in the motor blowing up. I wouldn't do it, dude.

That's not true. A lot of people go over 100 and there's don't blow up. Most people on here trap over 100 in the 1/4 mile.

ive done it in my automatic when it was stock. just needed alot of road lol and even on a slight incline. so there.

i'm cheating because i have a ss t/c but on the testdrive i got it to 110 by the end of the onramp basically.

i was sold then, the guy from the dealership knew it too...even if he was bracing for impact, ha.

I hope you kids wit the 2.2 n 2.4 doing 100+mph have the proper speed rated tires to this.

Factory tires on the SS/NA are H rated....

And i agree this is kinda stupid. Hope no one gets killed...

its a good day when you go by a cop thats going the opposite way on a completely empty road at 140 mph and he doesnt turn around. he didnt even brake..
that happened to me on my way to colorado when i was going through oklahoma. and it was the last time that ive went over 120

shouldnt a 2.2 be limited to 105? i know mine is and ive had it pegged at 105 for over an hour. theyre limited to 105 because the tires are rated for 113 i think. or 118. one of the two tho.

i nvr top mine out jus for fun..ill race it to 140 on the freeway and it gets their quick enough but no need to do it jus for fun
