yeh road salt would be the only thing I'd worry about. That stuff can be corrosive enough to do some damage if left on something too long.

The powder coat shouldn't be hurt by the snow or salt, the stainless lip might haze up from the salt, but come spring you shouldn't have any problem polishing it out.

You only have to worry f the wheels get wet and there's salt in there too. Get some steelies for the winter....

I would recommend just wiping them down with a microfiber towel and some warm soap water if they get covered in salt. I live in Nebraska and the only damage the snow has done to my wheels is that somewhere along the way to school and back, it ate my center cap. My car looks ghetto with 4 rims with the chevy bowite and then one with the hub showing
Steelies are cheap, really cheap if you own a 2.2L with a 4x100 bolt pattern. I would recommend those, or if you have an ss, those HHR wheels look nice for the winter.
To answer your question, the snow won't hurt the wheel. Just keep them clean of salt and you won't have a problem.

I run 18" black 5 spokes with the stainless lip for my winter rims also. One thing I can tell you, ever notice that all UPS trucks have black wheels with a silver stripe. Alot of these are powder coated and we no problems what so ever other than a gradual fade over the years.....but nothing lasts. I wouldn't worry about it too much. Just wash the salt off.
