I had my stockers on this past winter, it wasn't too bad. A bit slick, but i'd invest in some winter tires if i didn't have the Mitsu.

No way, i used my stockers last winter when i first got the car and they are horrible. I used to live on top of a big hill and i spent more time stuck at the bottom than in my driveway. Get some good snow tires if you ask me.

That is partially true. A snowy hill is a snowy hill I dont care how well you can drive the Pirelli's will just spin. With that being said I only put snows on the front and had no problem at all.

I haven't had mine in winter yet but I plan to use it this winter. It's FWD and should get around fine, just be careful, use some extra caution approaching stop signs and what not.

As for taking off in the snow just make sure you are smooth on the throttle and it should be fine.

I would pay to see someone try to use those tires in the snow. One incline and your fucked lol

I had Vredstiens (dutch tire) Wintracs on my Neon R/T for the last 3 seasons and they are an excellent "H" rated (130 mph) winter tire. used them for Ice Racing as well.

I am going to buy 17" rims for my SC this winter.... what are peeps putting on thier SC's that are HIGHLY recommended for high speed winter driving... let's try to rate them.

Icey (I see) the following:

Michelin Ice-X
Blizzak REVO 1s
Dunlop WinterSport M3s

I drove mine with the Pirelli's last year in the snow, not a lot of fun but doable. My problem is the paint chips from the gravel/salt mixture, so this year I have already acquired a winter beater!

No need for a winter beater, but I would definatly get some winter tires. The first snow fall of last year we got about 3 inches of snow. I wanted to see how the pirellis would do, so I decided to drive around the block before work. I got stuck infront of my neighbors house. After about 30 mins of digging myself out, I had to call work and say I wasnt gonna be there. My michelin X-ice tires could go through double that now

Dunlop WinterSport M3s on a set of Sport Edition F6 wheels all from tirerack ... one of the best "investments" you can make if you're planning on driving your SS through the winter.
