Pacesetter 2.2 Cobalt & Ion Headers
#6
Anyone get them yet?? How are they?? Will they work with a Borla catback exhaust system?? and are there any other companies making headers for a 2005 2.2 cobalt Ls???
#7
also are there any problems with additional heat in the engine bay?? Cause i have heard stories about corvettes with headers and the added heat has caused the engine to catch fire....soo i was wondering if that was a concern with any headers for any car???

alot of people have them
it is recomended to get the armor coated header , its a ceramic coating , and helps keep more heat inside the header , as well as to protect it

There is an active thread on the forum right now concerning a change in the L61 exhaust manifold. SOME, not all of the 2006 and later cars are now using Secondary Air Injection. This system injects air at the exhaust manifold, and requires the necessary provisions for such.
It's easy to check if you have it. Literally just go look and the back of your engine where the manifold is. If you see some plumbing connected to the top center of your manifold, you have it, and currently NONE of the aftermarket headers will work on your car.
If you don't have it, your golden, go get yourself a header!
Pacesetter became aware of this issue via this forum (yeay for us!), and is working on a new design as we speak (or so they tell me).
