If you drive AT ALL in rain, snow, mist, heavy fog, whatever, your dry filter will get soaking wet. I didn't believe it until I pulled mine out a week after I had drove in heavy rain. It was still wet.

It generally doesn't look like a tube. More like a boxy attachment with a tube on one end and a belled pipe on the other. You CAN'T have it in there and have a CAI. We were talking about leaving it in there for a SRI, and I was telling him that he should take it out anyway to get a little more airflow.

Either go through the plastic Wheel well liner and under body liner like in this How to. Or you can "possibly" remove the headlight and headlight mount and get that thing out through there. I don't know if the second one is possible though. It doesn't look like it will fit through. That's why I did the How to the way that I did it.

edit- Just so your aware, It IS a Torx bit, not a hex head bolt. BUT, I didn't realize that at the time (It was getting dark) and I made it happen with an allen wrench without realizing. So it can be done without picking up a T-30 sized Torx wrench from whereever.

anyone have problems with throwing codes after installing a CAI?? bought 1 for my 2.4L runs good for a bit then starts making the car run shitty....
has a ram air thing which i havent hooked up yet, that make a difference?
everyone remove the lower air box part?
it is an oil filter, do they come oiled or do you have to oil them?
its a Weapon R intake, figured i'd try them out but so far disappointed.....
