on most there's a coupler where you attach the mid-pipe to the muffler with two bolts and a gasket either right above the axle or just in front of the axle...

It bolts together...no welding required if you get a whole kit from like Megan Racing or something like that

all are the same for 2005-2007 I know that for sure. I also know the TC exhaust is different from the SC's exhaust but I don't know about the "Sport" or the lower models for 08 and 09...

Stick with 2.5" unless you're over like 300 HP...

Dude there's a friggin coupler with bolts right by the jack stand!!!

Here...

Basically right where that coupler is would be where you want to cut to take the old exhaust off. It's right by the rear drivers side wheel!!!!

really it's so easy a cave man can do it!!!

because it goes over the axel and body that you cant wiggle it or contort it in one peace.

I just wanted to add one thing, magnaflow suggests disconnecting the battery before doing install. Basically just because when you fire it up the CPU can make any necessary adjustments. Thx.

Would it still be necessary to cut the stock exhaust even if you remove the headers and downpipe? There has to be an easier away than dropping the rear end.

dropping the rear axle is very easy..Ive removed about 3 stock exhausts without cutting it..You just gotta flip the exhaust around and shimmy it out...

alright, i'm finally doing my exhaust install this weekend and if there's a way to NOT cut anything then I'll take it, but it seems kind of intimidating dropping the rear axle..

nope...just be careful with your brake lines..Just like changing springs, but youre gonna also unbolt the rear shock from the axle so it can drop

Yeah I did that a few weeks back for my springs.

I should be alright then..

There's a guy in my unit who used to make custom exhausts, i'll hit him up and see if he can help

Thanks

Excuse my ignorance guys.. But this whole cutting thing.. I get the purpose of it.. Where the cut goes.. All of that.. But if you're cutting something.. And replacing it.. So when adding the new exhaust.. What happens to what you just cut..? Stays cut ..? Covered with something? Does it matter? Lol

Nevermind.. Just saw another guide that answered ny question.. You cut and take off both sides .. I thought one of the cut sides stayed on the car.. I think I'm ready to install now

Ill be installing a ARK cat-back in the next day or two. Picking it up tomorrow. Easy install and shouldn't take more then 45mins to complete. Dont know why some people have such a hard time understanding it. lmao

UPDATE: Exhaust was a piece of cake. Took about an hour. Had one bolt seized but worked through it. Exhaust sounds great now.
