on most there's a coupler where you attach the mid-pipe to the muffler with two bolts and a gasket either right above the axle or just in front of the axle...
im looking to get a better exhaust for my car and I would like to try and do it myself (never did before) However, when you cut the old pipe off, how are you putting the new one on? Do you bolt it in..weld it (I have never welded thats why I never did this) or what? Looking through this, I didn't really see.
Great Pics Man Hey could you or anyone help me I have a 2006 SS Supercharged and I was wondering is it better to keep the Exhuast pipes a stock 2 inch pipe or open it up with a 3 inch pipe all the way through? Some say it makes the supercharger breath and some say I lose HP. Somebody Help me lol
look for the coupler right by the jack stand...

Dude there's a friggin coupler with bolts right by the jack stand!!!
Here...
Basically right where that coupler is would be where you want to cut to take the old exhaust off. It's right by the rear drivers side wheel!!!!
really it's so easy a cave man can do it!!!

I just wanted to add one thing, magnaflow suggests disconnecting the battery before doing install. Basically just because when you fire it up the CPU can make any necessary adjustments. Thx.

Excuse my ignorance guys.. But this whole cutting thing.. I get the purpose of it.. Where the cut goes.. All of that.. But if you're cutting something.. And replacing it.. So when adding the new exhaust.. What happens to what you just cut..? Stays cut ..? Covered with something? Does it matter? Lol

Ill be installing a ARK cat-back in the next day or two. Picking it up tomorrow. Easy install and shouldn't take more then 45mins to complete. Dont know why some people have such a hard time understanding it. lmao
