Thanks Roel! Long time no talk.

I have a clip, but it isn't the best quality. I will get a better clip soon, and post it in here.

Will do buddy, and good to hear the Cobalt is still modded.

Yeah, it has a nice mild lope to it.

You can feel it in the car idling at a stop light. I love it.... Not to mention the added power

Spoke to Andrew @ Complete Street Performance (performance shop about 2 hours from me), and I should be getting the car dyno'd in April or May....

I'm going to do a pull in 93 octane mode, and a pull in H.O.M.

Ive got the s2 cams. it lopes like crazy man. im still getting the p0315 code tho. I know everything is timed right. ive done it 4 different times. it used to drive fine, but this morning it would not start. I changed the crank position sensor and it fired up. but once I give it any throttle it dies on me everytime.

When did you purchase your S2 cams?

If you check out the TVS thread, there is talk in there about some S2 cams being out of spec (base circle is too large). You might be having the same issue as those guys.

I couldn't tell ya.

I never removed the head before, but I would imagine the way I did it would be quicker.

With my install, I wasn't really trying to save time, but wanted to limit how much I needed to remove.

^ I am in the process of putting my head back on my car so I think I can answer this question nicely. I had my head ported and what not. I also bought the supertech springs. Anyway, here is a list of what I bought through Tom @ CED:

1 12601810 Cylinder Head Gasket Kit Saturn Ion 2.0 LSJ 2004 - 2007 12601810

$140.51
1 24435052 Ecotec Front Cover Gasket 24435052

$19.86
1 90537687 Ecotec LSJ 2.0 Valve Cover Gasket 90537687

$42.52
32 90354648 Ecotec Valve Keepers (Key) 90354648 I was a little careless when removing the keepers so I advise to keep a keen eye out for these small things to avoid racking up the bill.

$107.84
1 12578146 SEAL 12578146

$10.55
1 12600009 SEAL, CM/SHF POSN SEN HSG OIL (O RING) 12600009

Can't wait to see a video and dyno of this setup.

I only have 48k miles on the car, never been to the track, and I'm the original owner. Trust me the engine is mint.

No need to do extra work in my case.

If you only knew how meticulous I am with my car.

Good stuff. Thanks for adding your info man.

My car looks like she will be hitting the rollers in the fall. I have too much going on with wedding planning and such.

Sweet

I have the same cams. Easy to install. Not over aggressive with noticeable mid to top in power gains.

I'm currently still waiting for my intake manifold to be welded up. I'm getting frustrated now. I just want to drive my car. I think the cams will more than likely happen. I would like to hit 300 whp with an M62 and pump gas.

The LE5 will be similar, but it is more along the lines like the LNF due to the variable valve timing.

Installing the valve springs will be exactly the same though.

Exactly, the vvt cam gears require a different bracket to hold timing. If you find the jtool number for those, let me know
