Thumbs up How to install Halos Projectors and L.E.D. Lights

Ok I already installed mines but since I havent seen anyone who did this Why not give it a shot. I have to come back and redue some things but this is just a ruff draft anyway.

Ok things youll need

Wire (I believe 12 guage roll from your auto store)
New halos projector lights (Duh)
Adapter fuse (from your auto store)
12 Guage crimp wire connectors and ring connectors
crimping tool
an extra 15 amp fuse for the adapter fuze
and a good sunny day LOL

ok first your projectors

depending on which kind you have mines where the sonor ones with the projector already installed.

Next remove your old lights from the car and take out the wire connection and lights from the housing, These are the lights and housing from my projectors since mines are already in i marked the lights and connectors you have to take off the OEM lights to connect to your projectors

as seen in the picture its easy to get out just MAKE SURE YOU DONT TOUCH THE BULBS.

Ok now that thats takin off just reinstall then in the projector lights same way you took them off. youll notice that the connection to it just connects easy so connect em

and wallla your lights are connected.

now to connect your Halos and L.E.D.s

what I did was just connect all the blk wires together and the red and white ones together so they can show at the same time,

use the crimping connection pieces and connect all the blk in one connection and all the red/white in another connection.

Ok once there connected ground the blk to the frame on both sides

I used the closes place to ground it and this part looked great when you unscrew it it shows metal contact use the ring connectors on the ends and just tightin them down

Ok now for the positive. take off the top to your fuze box and look for the park light fuze

this is the fuze youll be using
now attach the extra 15 amp fuze to it and take the fuze out the fuze box and add it to the adapter.

What you wanna do is run a wire from the ends of the positives to the adapter, only two wire will be goin in the end of it so it should be hard to fit it in and crimp it together. Once done just place in the fuze box

once thats connected test and it should work when you turn on your park lights. they wont flash when the turn signal comes on they just stay on and when you turn them off they turn off also. when its night time and the auto lights come on they come on by them selves also.

once youve checked them out reinstall the lights

and wait till night time

and now your projector and L.E.D.s halos are connected.

Enjoy

this helps, but my park lights take ten amp fuses... do i just need a second ten amp fuse? im gonna just try this then, i wired them originally to my signal lights and they dont look bright.. but i was also told LED halos arent briight to begin with... sad face.

Not trying to thread jack, but I did the same how-to. Good write up though. Only main difference I see is the halos for you are not using a power inverter. Are your halo's LED's or CCFL?

Here is a link to my how-to: https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/how-...s-leds-269891/

I have CCFL halo rings and the 3 LED's under the low beam. You might have LED halos. Look under part 4 of my how-to, in the first picture, and you should be able to see the power inverter.

Don't know exactally what you mean by the screw, but put a pic up if you have one. And yeah, the inverter is small. Still waiting on a replacement one for my driver side....

Helped out a ton! But the aiming is horrible, anybody have any idea how to aim these properly? Ive twisted what i thought were the adjustment screws, but not so much.

You will want to use the adjustment screw that is the bottom toward the "inside" of the car (or towards the high beam) to adjust up and down. The one next to it is for left and right I think.

not sure about you but all i did was splice the leds into the halo lights which were spliced into the parking light wire (not the turn signal wires) so they were on whenever the car was set to show only the parking lights. i didnt have to wire anything into the fuse box or any fuses.
