With the adjustable resistors you can change the brightness of the lights when the parking lights are on. the higher the resistance the more dim they will appear. If there is not enough resistance when you hit the brake or turn signal there will not be a visible change in the brightness.

is there any way i can put 2 halo rings in the reverse lights and run the wires to the same place the led wire goes in this pic? that way i can adjust the brightness and have them work as brake/turn signals as well right?

has anyone done this with halo rings before? should i get the ccfl rings with the ballasts or just normal halos with 2 wires comin from them?

im using 1, 80mm n 1, 100mm in each tailight btw.

whats the average price for halo rings? the ones on ebay are like $45 a set

origami you think you could build me a set up like you have so the would be dimmer on runnin lights and get brighter when the brakes are applied or the blinker is on? i would pay good money for this to happen..

an easy fake way to do it is try and fit a crazy amount like he did (20 or 22 i forget) then wire up half of them to the running wire with a bigger resistor and the other half to the brake wire with a smaller resistor. This would give u full light up when u brake and an obvious difference when u do so. Only **** up will be turn signals while braking. there should be a bit of difference but it wont be as prominent

can any one tell me how ori's set up works? i've ordered the stuff that he used and was wondering where the two wires go after they come off the adjustable resistors? if im thinkin right then they will bout tie into the postive side of the led so that it dims them untill you hit the brakes and they then go full power.. some one tell me if thats right please...

im using led strips that have a + and a -. which wire should go to the resistor and which should go to tha yellow or green wire? does it matter?

the resistor goes on the positve side and the yellow wire does to.. i think your led stripe already has a resistor built in though and addin another one will just make em really dim without gettin bright at all. ori's set up is made for leds that hasnt had any resistors added yet (i.e. led strips and pre-wired leds).

The way I setup the circuit you hook it up to the positive of the LEDs and the negative connects to ground either the black wire or the car frame. Both the Brakes and turn signals work like the taillights.

they will all be on any time the lights are on and will get brighter when you hit the brake oruse the turn signal.
