Cobalt LT Lower Grille vs SS

anybody have any ideas why the LT lower grille is significantly lower in price than the SS lower grille when they are basically the same piece of plastic with a slight different shape?

demand is higher on the SS?

Cobalt LT Lower Grille MSRP $24.71

Cobalt SS Lower Grille MSRP $83.05

eh?

There is really nothing difficult about installing the 2.4 SS grill on the 2.0 SS/SC.
Just take it out of the box, align it in the opening and snap it in. The grill has clips that clip around the edge, so make sure you push on the grill to make sure it is clipped properly.
Be especially sure to check your corners.

Attached are my step by step pictures.
Looks awesome. Do they make a 3 piece of this grill for a Cobalt LT Coupe?

Drove with it on last summer with no temp increase.

I have had mine on for over a year and there is NO cooling problems at all. I would much rather spend $50-$60 bucks for a new grill than over $200 for a new AC condenser and HE. Well worth the mony.

Just a question. I am often stuck in traffic over here in Montreal. If I put the grill on, will it cause any over-heating. I guess it won't make much of a difference cause I'm not moving much anyways.

Also, how does the ss/sc 06 act in traffic. It's not bad for the car, is it?

Thanks

The reason I brought this up is because that grill probably saved me God only knows how much money had it not been there. Well worth the $'s.
same thing happened to me on the wat back from panama.

Awsome, I ordered mine last Thursday from CED for $85.90 shipped (my local dealer said that they would have to order it and it would cost $110), so I should be getting it in the next couple days. Between Fri. 9/28 and Sun. 9/30 I put about 1000 miles on my car driving from L.A. to Sacramento. So on Thursday night I made a quick trip The Home Depot and bought a small roll of aluminum window screen slapped that behind the bumper with those little clips that hold the bumper togather, and it's a little on the flimsy side, but it caught all kinds of crap from going in my radiators. So basically I'm glad I did that quicky grille, but the SS grille will look and work a lot better.
