i think i may try high temp paint so the paint dosent burn off or fade

on the headlights i just used dupli paint -gunmetal... so it wouls match the stock rims.... on the amber bulbs i used a flat gray color but its definatley worth going with the silverstar.

hahaha... i would but personally don't think it'd look good on my balt, but i will be trying to come up with a way to illuminate the rear reflectors and move the white reverse lights... so we'll have to wait and see

I'm about to do this exac thing today (minus the painting)...how long does it take for the sealant to dry cause I need to be able to drive my car later today?

sealant should be dry quickly.... I started the project at 2PM and replaced headlight and turn signal bulbs, fog lights, and painted my headlights.... parts were back on at 930PM

I just went to Home Depot and bought some stuff called "gutter gaurd"... works really well and you can paint it to whatever color you want; i went with gunmetal to match rims and headlights.

thanks guys for all the comments.. its nice to know when hard work pays offs... and brocklanders you should def go with the gunmetal on the headlights... it looks amazing with the red body color

I know it's old..but it's in 09 so I'm legal. Gotta Question. I'm doing this, and some people are saying A WEEK before resealing?! What? I hope not, then unfortunately I can't do it..can't go a week without my ride

No need to go a week w/o resealing. I've done mine and had them back on the car with in the same afternoon. As long it's not raining the next day or two.
