I just ordered a bottle of Optimum No Rinse to try this winter. If it works as well as everyone says then I'll never wash with a hose again, other than for the initial rinse, lol.

I think it would be good for a show car that has some dust on it, but anything more than that would cause some serious scratches or at least I couldnt see how it wouldnt

^^this. There's really no shortcuts or magic potions when it comes to keeping your paint pristine.

You gotta spend the money and put in the elbow grease

If you are looking to do a full cut and polish I would def start with a stripping solution (DAWN works well). I then go onto clay baring, to get any little **** off. The go panel by panel. I have the luxury of having another car so my Cobalt sits. Usually do about a 2 week clean after every spring, summer, fall.

Yes, I have always laid down a wax and then a sealant. Just what my dad taught me and it has always worked well

If you like it having no durability, then I guess so

Sealant goes down first, then wax. The synthetic polymers in most sealants will provide better adhesion bonding compared to carnuba waxes that have a lower flash point.

thats the way i see it too. sealants are designed to last a lot longer than waxes (far as ive noticed anyway). a really good sealant sometimes calls for a long waiting period after applying to buff off. i find wax to be a seasonal thing; to protect the sealant. which protects your paint.

but i digress. its a loaded subject; all in all its better to have either or, rather than nothing.

It was on autopia or one of those forums where they said wax first then sealant.

It's victory red just was in 2 accidents. Both not my fault of course. NY drivers are awful
