How to remove the headlights on a Cobalt/G5

Well, a lot of people seem to have problems trying to take the headlights off these cars, and most of the how to threads only have pictures showing how to do it, but even pictures can only go so far when it comes to these things. Below is a video I made up showing how I remove my lights, hopefully that helps others figure it out when they need to do something with their headlights.

Added pics to better conform to the requirements for this section. This is a basic outline of what the video shows:

The two bolts and the black pin circled in green must be removed. The pin may not need removal on some cars, but most will need it.

Once the bolts and pin are out, pull the headlight forward, or towards the front of the car.

Grab the corner of the headlight and swing out outwards and the unit will come right off.

The green circles show the two clip things that slide into the slots circled in red. If the headlight isn't pulled forward enough, they will not let go and you will have issues pulling the corner of the thing out.

Installation is the reverse of the removal, as usual. Put the inner corner of the light back in, then slowly slide the rest back in place. When it's back in, push the light back in to line up all the holes and put the bolts/pin back in.

Approved, but I think the reason this was not approved is missing pics

I can take screengrabs from the video, but those wouldn't be good quality. I can try to take actual pics and add them to the post later today when I have some time.

Edited, pics are up.

Thanks of the nice post.
I was screwing around wih this for about 30 minutes in the driveway yesterday.
Came back inthe house, found this post and got the headlights out in 5 minutes.

I ordered these lights. They did not arrive yet, I was just checking the bulbs that came with my ebay projectors.

PIAA Xtreme White Plus H-11 with a Kelvin rating of 4000K (fog)
PIAA Xtreme White Plus H-7 with a Kelvin rating of 4000K (low beam in projector)

You don't even have to remove that clip. I've personally never done that and I can yank my lights very fast.

That being said, it does make it easier though if you're not well versed on taking it out.

Man, I have ******* abused my fascia where the headlight meets it, from taking these things out so many times.

Nice How-to, though!
