if you dont like it afterwards or you screw up, its easily removable with lacquer thinner than you can pick up at home depot for like 5 bucks. just make sure you're patient and dont do too thick of coats or you may get the paint to run

can anyone PLEASE help me out and tell me where to find the niteshades? i have looked everywhere for them and i just gave up searching and am asking for help lol. Are they sold in a store, because i would prefer buying it through one instead of online, but any help WHATSOEVER would be greatly appreciated.

modernperformance.com sells them in a 2-pack. usually you cant get them in stores unless they're an automotive performance store. they're illegal in most states so usually you wont find them at kragen or autozone. Online is your best bet

That looks really good but I got 2 questions for you.

1. How is backing up at night?
2. Do you have any pictures from farther away?

Did you color sand the lights afterward, it looks like you have some orange peel on the brake lights. Looks sweet though, I'd definatly do it if my car wasn't yellow. DAMN CONTRAST!!!

Those would look bad ass if you color sand them and add some clear coat. Shiny!

I had fun with this

I first got the exacte same product you used in your How To to tint my lights, I followed the steps closely but I guess I did something wrong and they didnt turn out so nice... in fact they were horrid so I wet sanded them back to their original state.

I was out of tint (a friend of mine used it before I did, so it was empty) so I started to ask myself what could I do instead and I got an Idea.

I had one of my club's sponsor cut 4 Bio Hasard logos in vinyl and I stuck them on the lights, then I used Flat Black paint, 3 thin coats, I peeled off the vinyl and then shot 3 coats of clear, the end result is pretty neet

the 3rd coat of clear is still drying right now, I'll get pics when they're on the car tomorrow, there's a big car show in my hometown

actually, I put such fine coats that the light still goes through and I'm less worried about being pulled over with these then I did for the 2 days they were tinted with nightshade.

Here's a better, easier write-up. Tape up the area around the lights on the car with some blue painter's tape. Spary the lights off with some rubbing alcohol and wipe it clean with a microfiber towel. Grab a can of VHT and shake it apply about 3 coats with a few minutes in between each. Let the bitch dry for about 1/2 hour. DONE! Wow you made something really simple really difficult. We do this **** everyday. Here's a hint...when you do it this way it doesn't turn out dull like I see yours did on the passenger side light.
