Let the bitch dry for about 1/2 hour. DONE! Wow you made something really simple really difficult. We do this **** everyday. Here's a hint...when you do it this way it doesn't turn out dull like I see yours did on the passenger side light.
turned out dull on the passenger side light because i used a different type of translucent paint. i was experimenting. the reverse lights were nightshades the outer lights were krylon crystal clear paint

yea painters tape would work perfectly fine, you can just put multiple layers of tape and use a razorblade to cut it to the perferred shape

you can use some generic clear black enamel to paint them as well, so its not only tougher its shows up like night shades and has a natural gloss.

I almost went with a hornet on my brake lights. Decided against it, and stuck with some nice almost pure black brake lights. Very much like what Beck did. I'll have pics up in a few days (once we don't have anymore cold rainy days in MO!).

I was out of tint (a friend of mine used it before I did, so it was empty) so I started to ask myself what could I do instead and I got an Idea.

I had one of my club's sponsor cut 4 Bio Hasard logos in vinyl and I stuck them on the lights, then I used Flat Black paint, 3 thin coats, I peeled off the vinyl and then shot 3 coats of clear, the end result is pretty neet

the 3rd coat of clear is still drying right now, I'll get pics when they're on the car tomorrow, there's a big car show in my hometown
where is your front neon placed ???

what if you don't like it, can you undo this and return it back to stock?
