How-To: Wire Up Halos For Projectors
Let the fun begin!
Tools Needed:
------------------
Wire
Crimpers
Wire Stripers
Connectors
Lets get started!
1. First you need to remove the lights if you already installed them by removing these 2 bolts and then wiggle it out.
2. Now take the 3 white wires from the projectors and leds and strip the ends if they arnt yet stripped and twist them together and put a connector on it and use the crimping tool to "crimp" the connector onto the wires.
3. Now do the same with the 3 black wires from the halos and leds.
4. Now that you have done that take a quick break and swig down a beer for your hard work!
5. Take the brown wire from the wire harness and splice into it and add a wire to it. Now wrap the area you jsut spliced with either electrical tape or with anything you perfer. Then attach a connector to the other end of the wire you just attached to the brown wire. Make sure you attach the oppisite connector so they cany plug into eachother.
6. Now do the same with another wire and splice it into a black wire in the harness. Also add a connecter just like the other one.
7. Now connect the white wires with the wire attached to the brown wire. Then connect the black wires to the wire attached to the black wire.
The connectors you chose should plug into eachother. This will allow you to be able to disconnect the wires when you remove your headlights and not make a mess of wires.
Hope this helps anyone

well i dont do things that way i like to be able to disconnect if needed + it looks nice.
^^ + if you do it your way when you remove your lights you would have to cut the wires since the brown wire is attached to the stock harness and not the projector harness.

no if there attached to the brown wire they come on with either your headlights or if you switch it to parking lights. not with daytime running lights, that would be pointless
#6
k good, cause everyone else i have talked to hooked them up to there day time running lights and i thought that was the stupidest thing in the world. so have you had any problems with wiring them this way
#8
You just disconnect the harness from the cars connector and you can take the whole thing out lol
#9
i have two ?'s its the brown wire to hook the halos up to so that when you turn on the parking lights they turn on right, and when you turn your brights on do both lights come on or does it switch from in to out

I need some expert help on this one. I followed these instructions to the T! I hooked everything up correctly, and everything is functioning fine. I left the "clear" bulbs in for the turn signals and tested them and they worked. I then put in the orange bulbs that came in the box, and they wont work now. Could it be the type of bulb? Or could I have done somrthing wrong? And now when I turn on my signals... they flash really really fast haha!

regular connnecters from liek radio shack. but make sure they can plug into eachother and you dont buy just one type lol. i believe they sell a pack of both for like 3$

I killed my stock harnesses trying to figure this out. I get it now though.
Make sure you know exactly how to do this before you cut wires.

Why couldn't you just wire the Halo's and LED's to a switch? The reason I ask this is because the blue LEDS are illegal around here and I don't want them on all the time. If they were on a switch you could control when they are on.
If I wire the halos and LED's to a switch would it make the projectors plug and play?
Anyway of getting clearer pictures?

If you get some inline taps for hooking into the brown wire, you won't have to cut the wire. They have them in a pack of 2 at Wal-Mart for like 1.70 or so. I love them, they hook to the kind of connectors Mcurley used, which are also supplied. Thought I'd let you all know.
EDIT: You'll need 2 packs of 2. 1 pack of 2 for each side.
Here's the package, you only get 2 sets, I condensed mine to one package.
Here's the splices, the dark blue one goes on the brown wire, the light blue one goes to the Halos.
Here's the splices unfolded, you fold the dark blue one over the brown wire.

Black- Ground
Brown- Power for runing lights (NOT DRL)
Blue- Power for DRL
Orange- Power for turn signal
Im 99.9% sure thats right never hurt for someone else to check me on that tho.
You will see more than one Black wire its all ground so pick one
