Drivetrain: MU3 F35 Stock shifter linkage adjustment!

MU3 F35 Stock shifter linkage adjustment!
So, you have done it all. Checked or replaced broken roll pins for the shift linkages. You have also changed your transmission fluid, hopefully with the correct fluid type.
But, you are still having issues shifting in reverse, or 5th gear. These seem to be the common of the ones that a lot of people are having issues with. You take your cup holder out, messing with the linkage retainers, but still just don't have it right....
Here is the solution!
1. Remove cup holder
2. Remove shifter boot and trim to expose shifter
3. Shift shifter into 4th gear.
4. Carefully press the two tabs on the 4th gear locking tab to release the tab. Doing this will allow the locking piece to drop locking the shifter into 4th gear.
You can do this with a pair of locking pliers.
5. Make sure that the transmission is shifted into forth gear. The transmission itself, not just the shifter. In most cases, it already is.
6. Unclip both retainers on the cables near the shifter.
7. Align the tab on the 4th gear lockout tab to the center where the lockout tab meets the bottom part of the shifter. Just like in the first picture in step 4.
8. Now, lock down both retainers.
9. Pull up on the 4th gear lockout tab and put it back.
10. Re-install everything back, take it out for a test drive. ALL SHOULD BE GOOD NOW!
P.S.
You can do the same thing with an aftermarket shifter, but you will not have the lockout tab.
