Didn't know OP wasn't a noob my bad, but I was more concerned with the other thread about the downpipe install that you posted in. I'm sure youre a helpful guy and I'm not here to call out people, but it was just something I noticed today. I am the type of noob to search for stuff before I post, but sometimes you gotta make life easier for other people. To be quite honest, since we are on the topic of the search bar, this site's search bar sucks. When you search for something, at least 20 other irrelevant threads come up before you even get close to what you're looking for. Type in your problem into google with just "Cobalt SS" at the end and miraculously, this site is the first result with 20 threads actually relevant to your topic. Hmmmmm...

Thanks for the write up. Although that's not exactly what I was looking for. I was really just trying to see how to wire up the demon eyes. I know how to install headlights guys I'm not that much of a noob. And my retros are already done. I just need to wire up the demon eyes and that's where I got lost.

Do you want them to be on all the time or with parking lights or when you want (e.i. a switch). For all the time (when car is on) tie into a swtiched fuse in the box. Parking lights tap into the parking light wire (i forget the color right now). Then a switch, I don't think I need to explain that.
For wiring the actual demon eyes up you need to know what leds or CFL ring (ohm, watts req, max watts) you're using and if you need a driver or converter for the current.

Oh, thats more specific not just an install retros with demon eyes.

Just realized I forgot to mention always add a fuse if you're switching directly to the power terminal, the closer to the terminal the better. The driver/converter will tell you the amp draw required (for most leds CFLs 5-10amp should be plenty).

youre lucky i jsut did this and installed for a customer... lol
demon eyes:
all connections go to the red and black wire coming out of the back of your headlights. i imagine like most noobs you got your headlights from mike ulrey and he just leave the wires hanging right out and ends frayed and open. most others do it this way too
tools/materials needed
crimper/stripper pliers
heat shrink connectors
20 ft of 16ish gauge wire
eyelets
bolts that fit through the eyelets (preferably self tappers)
bit of sandpaper
electric tape
two way 3 prong switch
drill two small grounds on your chassis, one underneath each headlight.
create two pieces of wire (i'd say a foot or two long) with eyelets at the end. these will get bolted down into the ground holes you drilled (and sanded the area)
get quick disconnects. connect one to the other end of that wire you just made with the eyelet. same goes for the positive wires; this is all so that you can take your headlights on and off without having to resplice anything.
anyway reference the pics and lemme know if you have any other quesitons

yes.
right behind the clutch pedal is a big rubber grommet with wires already going through it. fish something through there into the engine bay and hope it droops enough to grab it from under the car. attach the wires to this (two wires) and pull back through the cabin. route them to the little cubby thing under the fog light button and install the switch. i dremeled an area out for the switch to push through nice and professional like.

OP's not a noob...I get tired of seeing thread after thread being made to ask questions, now make a thread with the reference to an old thread saying you didnt want to bump it says hey I've actually looked around for answers and didn't find something.
Also this site has really toned back on noob harassment, if gds is considered harassment I'm glad you didn't join back in the sites hay-day
