INTENSE offers 400HP Cobalt SS Axles!
Rated at 400HP, the Driveshaft Shop Level 2 axles are for the fast street car that goes for fast food by night and hits the track on the weekend. These full chromoly axles were designed with fast forced induction street cars in mind (not for all motor cars). These direct bolt in axles are fully assembled with the Driveshaft Shop's torsional center bars, special inner c.v.'s with oversized tripods, a higher durometer boot and their c.v. designed to handle hard launches. If your looking for a set of axles that will handle everyday driving and be able to handle the track when you want, this is it.

Rob broke one of his stock axles the very first time he tried to launch above 3,000 RPM at the track. I think he only made it about two feet...

yet another thing to add to my list to order now , id rather not wait until they break to replace them, they probably could damage other things in the process of breaking.......

the SS/SC's only break them when they are nearing the 300whp mark (270+) and only then because they have a large amount of low end tourque that snaps them, something an N/A motor would not need to worry about.

Thats so very very very wrong. There were 2 NA Cobalts here in Dallas area last month who snapped axles with teh 2.2 LS motor. The stock axles are snapping because of the unfortunate wheel hop these poorly designed suspensions allow during a launch. The stock axles will fail under torque of 140+ if the car is wheel hopping at the same time.
