I too have a fond appreciation for JBP.

I would hope you would Rod. Most of your car is only being built from them.

Before you guys whine about the price, you need to do some homework first.
Check out this link for the 2.2/2.4 billet crankshaft pulley at double JBP's price. http://www.crateenginedepot.com/stor...-P330C135.aspx

was there any significant gains on this pulley that you see on your car(JBP) other than the interia overcome?

That's cool.
When you consider this pulley is bolted directly to your crank and powers everything else on the serpentine system, a quality, sturdy, usually not cheap, part is a must.

If this helps a stock car to gain 5whp... I'm VERY curious as to what it'll do for a 2.8" or smaller pullied car! You guys need to get that dyno done PRONTO!

This, and the fact that we did two limited runs of 50 pcs. Which means high production costs. Plus in comparison to the unit on CED, it is lighter and meant for a the street AND strip. Plus this unit is stronger than the stock unit, and while not billet steel, will survive high RPM endurance runs.

When Metallic does the dyno, I'm sure it's gonna show some serious power gains.

i mentioned above that the pulley is stronger than the stock unit, it has been case-hardened for longevity. It as you mentioned has a reduction in initial interia over-come, and it has a nice wow factor when you look at it. The astute modifier will find that we've correct the positioning of the belt by about 1.5~1.7mm by offsetting the position of the best slightly.. But ppl don't really care about that.

Time for Ed to wash the salt of the bottom of his car.
Are there any other options as far as colour for the pulley?

I doubt it... run of 50... probably identical, to cut down on costs. Glad to see you still designing new parts for us though, JBP! If I ever get more money (lol poor) you can bet I will buy some stuff from you guys and all the other vendors that continue to support us LSJ'ers!

its not hard at all to change, take off pass tire, take out lower fender liner, push down the tensioner, unbolt the crank pulley, take it off, put new one, put bolt back, put everything back together and enjoy

Thanks exactly the reason why UmeNNis. There's no other colour available except for black.. Sorry Rod.

Coblt ss super, says it all! We can bang it off in under 20 min. Lightened and ready to go!

and what about all the other pulleys on the car, would it be benefical to have the other ones lightened?
Yes, however, the remaining pulleys are already light HDPE plastic except for the alternator pulley. So that means that we're going to come out with an alternator pulley.
