I'll be bringing the Mean Machine Cobalt and all of the Longhorn Racing crew out.

Maybe I'll even bring my DR's and partake in the Drag event on Friday. I got records to break and ****.

Since I'm the one with the lead foot I'll let it slide...j/k .

Darryl, any idea when you "might" know by whether or not you'll be going? Since this is basically like driving to Ottawa (which I do once a year...why....I have no idea) we would probably want to leave on the Thursday 'cause I'm not getting up at 4am to get to CED by noon or so on the Friday.

I forget when the Kingston show is in May (and I'm still not sure if I'm considering going) but if I had to pick one I think this one would be it. The drive for us is similar regardless of which direction we go; Kingston is maybe 1.5 hours shorter tops if I remember correctly which is nothing once you're rolling.

I'd rather not leave super late at night on the Thusday if we go to this. If we hit the Sarnia crossing between 4 - 7 be prepared to sit there for hours waiting while commuter traffic makes its way back and forth. The wait time can be upwards of 1.5 hours if we hit it at the wrong time. Crossing at Sarnia will also be a shorter drive since we jump on the correct Interstate almost the instant we clear Customs.

We'll have to talk about it more at a meet or get together at some point beforehand to figure it out. If I'm booking the Thursday and Friday off work I'm going to have to give a good 2 months notice since like I've said I have a hell of a time getting time off since they need to fill my absence with a couple bodies depending on workload we have at the time.

Well i can leave or take off from work pretty much whenever i want to. I assume if you guys are coming through Sarnia you'll be rolling down I-94? I-94 goes right by my house im like 1 minute away from it. So keep me in loop gents and i'll def get in on the Cobalt train.

The last time I went to Chicago I stuck to I-69 if I remember correctly and caught 94 from there. Taking I-94 from Sarnia is going to take us south through Detroit (this is the way I go to catch I-75; I typically won't cross at Detroit) and then West torwards IL? Doesn't matter to me which way I would be going as long as it has rest stops, decent gas stations and as little construction as possible .

Well the construction on 75 is all wrapped up now. But being that Michigan has that fifth season that never goes away ever, i couldn't even begin to say what condition any freeway in this jacked sideways state will be.

I just google mapped it from london ontario to the dragway its actually the same time if you just hit 94 from sarnia rather then traveling 69 to 94. The problem with either way is you have to go through a congested city. I don't know how lansing is on a thursday night, if thats when we are leaving, but i know as long as there is no games starting at that exact moment or whatever in detroit it should be fairly quick to shoot through D town

Ya I was doing the same; looks like either way works . Driving through Detroit is always an adventure...hammer down and it's my lane, every man for himself, I fit right in .

I can't remember the what traffic was like the last time I went by Lansing but depending what time of day we left I could aim to miss any sort of rush hour if at all possible. I know I-94 is a nightmare if you hit it between 4ish and 6ish, I made the mistake of picking up a friend from the airpot and getting back at the wrong time!

Sure that'll work. I let Rob know we were considering going so depending on whether or not he's around etc. he may consider it but we can run this by him later as well. I'm not sure if Alex, Kris, Jesse, Tim or Justin would be interested as well but I mentioned it to Sully on MSN today but he seems sidetracked .
