Cobalt SS/TC's in St. Louis

Someone with a tune or something wanna run. Because, the silver 4 door I ran tonight got embarassed. The 4 door SS/TC that i rode in with Jake today was embarrasing. Where do people come off saying these stock cars are oh so fast? Maybe it was because I went from a roll. Dunno, but when you put 3 cars on someone from a 35 punch in 2nd is not really that fast. Please, someone in St. Louis come change my mind. kthanxbai

I also ran that silver 4 door TC a few weeks back, see other post. I put it on him pretty good up top when we both started even, a few cars if I remember.

I'm also wondering where all the fast TCs are..........??? Lol

If I was gunna get a T/C I'd get intake and exhaust for it, and arrange a tune before I purchased it.. stock it puts down decent power, but nothing much until at least CAI and a Tune.

Heavier car, tight engine, who knows? It's funny when lsj owners feel a need to draw a line in the sand. If you've put the time, effort and $ in to your ride to dip well into the 13's (or better) then props to you. Bashing new SS's that are an upgrade over yours in several area's doesn't say a hell of a lot about your purchase decision especially if you bought new and paid more than me ($18,700). 8:22 @ the 'Ring/high 13's with a warranty. Better engine/clutch/axles/brakes/wheels/tires/suspension/interior-yea, I got fucked.

Tomorrow night, if its not slow, prove it to me. Im not saying they don't have potential, Im just stating Ive yet to personally see a fast one.

What mod's do you have? Or are you stock? Either you are putting down quite a bit more power than the SS/TC's or you are racing people who cant drive JMO.

I think maybe some lsj guys were trying to push a few buttons; but if you really think the new cars are POS's you should check for exhaust leaks immediately. I've been checking out the site long enough to know that pullied lsj's wi supporting mods apparently can be MF's from a roll-It's called "wicked throttle response">turbo lag-run him from a dig...

Yea, I've got a copy-I had to go to Michigan to buy it ("wind damaged/re-painted wi full warranty")

Mike will roll out on any TC in st.louis i can bet money on that........ Not to mention i know someone else that is supercharged that will pull any ss/tc down the highway even if its fully bolted and tuned. Probably be a good run for a turbo swapped one. I wont mention names :/

Ok... I could see the lower price possibility (not very common though).

What exactly is "wind damage" ? Hail, foreign objects driven by winds?

Where does it say hate? I just get tired of hearing how fast they are and the one I did race was not fast at all. They act as if they are superior. Sure they are nice, but in the end, it's still a cobalt.

Inasmuch as I've never "officially raced" anyone yet I'll refrain from popping off about how quick mine is-there's always some faster. Also, save for a K&N drop-in I'm stock and my right foot is in a losing battle with the "learn-down"/computer. The fact remains: Similar well-spent money on lsj's vs. lnf's should result in the lnf being considerably quicker. I'm certainly not hatin'- I said in my intro if they hadn't made the TC there'd be an SC in my driveway right now. I like all fast Cobalt's and some slow one's,too.(Ion's too I guess)

Search "wind-damaged TC's"-that might help

Screw it-I'll take the bait. Anybody wanting to "run for fun" let me know when/where and we can see what's what-I need to get a baseline where I'm @ with this thing anyway. I won't be thrilled/crushed whatever the outcome.
