Des Moines area dealerships
Anybody in the Des Moines, Iowa area have a dealership install a stage 2 kit? I just got quoted $590 for install and $750 for the kit from Karl Chevrolet. Then went to Bob Brown and was quoted about $900, for kit and install. I had always heard that Bob Browns service dept was alot better than Karl's. Guess it was true. I'm from Des Moines. I think Saturn of Des Moines is capable of doing them, but I have no idea if they've actually done any.
I'm kinda surprised to find another Des Moines person on here. You don't usually see too many of us.

Yeah there used to be a few around on here, but I haven't seen any of them in a while. I didn't even think to go to the Saturn dealership, o well. I've heard good things about Bob Browns service dept. I am actually from Grimes and I see a black Redline parked at the Fareway all the time, wouldn't be you by chence would it?

Naw, Unfortunately thats not me. But I do live very close to Grimes. My dad has some freinds out there, so I make an occasional trip there. Theres a guy with a black SS/SC that works at the Best Buy in West DM.
I've never been one to shop at Fareway (since I work at a HyVee, lol).

Awesome. I've got a buddy that works at Wells Fargo that just picked up a brand new Eclipse this morning. Its pretty cool. We're gonna be going to a Dyno here pretty soon, just to see exactly how much power we put down to the wheels. you're welcome to join.

I emailed them a bit last fall. They offer group discounts, so the more people you have the cheaper it is. I'm tryin to get a group of people to go.

Midstates could not get my RPM right on the dyno so I did several on there dyno then I run at Karls on free dyno day & it work fine.
To answer your question Bob Brown installed my stg2 for around $190 & I bought the STG2 kit from them for $685 so it was like $900 bought & installed Talk to Brett the service manager & Mike Jones did the install as he has done all my major installs on my old 1999 SC Tahoe.
Sorry I didn't see you post earlier!

Make sure you get the torks bits when there done as Mike kept them & I had to go back & get them & you might think about the daul inter cooler as they have to remove the sc & intake to put it on so the labor would be cheaper if done all at once
Tell Bret Doug Gordon sent you & mention the Supercharged Tahoe if he don't remember me.
you could always buy the kit from Creat engine

Yeah i told Andy the service guy I talked to that I could get it elsewhere and have it in about a week and he said they won't warranty it if I don't buy it from them. But I at least thought that they could get it in within a couple of weeks.
