this sat. night (15th) me and a few friends are wanting to go on a cruise. will start around 7pmish at my apt and we will wait for a bit for late shows and the sun to go down. cruise starts late dusk/nightfall or so.

anyone is welcome.

if you want to come, let me know, ill hook you up with directions.

for the sake of it, i live in the northlands, off of i-29 and barry rd.

I am leaving Lawrence on Thursday otherwise I would tag along. Do you live on the KS side or the MO side? I am moving to Lawrence for good on the 22nd of July so then hopefully I can make some of the meets!

there are a few kids that are meeting up in O.P i think before the actual cruise. were still not 100% if we are meeting up here or not..we could very well meet down south somewhere (which makes more sense to me anyways).

but ill keep you updated.

and mike, as far as hot spots, im not sure what your meaning. do you mean like, car spots? or clubs?

i havent really heard/seen of any "good" car spots. there is the typical front street, but thats pretty much on the cops patrol route of every 45 minutes or so. has been that way for a long time now.

im sure theres spots out there, just have to find em.

hey dont know if anyone would be intersted but there is going to be a car show at the olathe bible church on august 11 6:00 - 9:30. I was thinking since its free to get your car in this would be a good opertunity to meet and we can all show our cars and ck out some other rides, there supposed to be bbq and other events. so whats does everyone think?

http://www.olathebible.org/index.cfm?PAGE_ID=1034

here is the link so you can ck it out for yourself.

Cracking down everywhere really. With them writing tickets for even being present at a race you might get more than you bargain for if you just want to meet up and chill with other local owners.

Out of curiosity, why did you get the 4dr SS as opposed to the coupe or the SS/SC?

agreed. we just generally meet up and 'cruise' or what not..kinda miss the whole 'street racing' vibe, but you improvise and adapt

we might go to a spot and get in a couple runs but then we leave.

I have the 4 door for 2 reasons first is that I am married and have a daughter (who btw is turning 1 on the 21st) so being able to get her in and out easily was importeant, second I found the car on the used lot at morse chevy and they cut me a nice deal. I was trading a 99 accord 4dr ex w89k miles I broke even on that and got the ss4dr w/ 5k miles for 16,500. It was hard to say no. I didnt consider the sc cause I am not looking to go fast but at the same time I am not all about how a car looks with body kits and all that jazz. I just want a quick ride that looks good is fuctional for me and my family. given the lines and motor of the ss 4dr it meets all of my needs and most of the things I want. My dream car if I want to go fast is a vette or a viper.

16,500 sounds like a great deal for only 5k miles. When I was skimming local 2.4L SS coupes I saw that many dealers who had used 4drs were asking 18~20ish.

As for a vette or viper as a dream car, neither are really too unattainable when talking a few years old & used (at least a vette). Ya just might have to mold your little tyke into the next female einstein so she gets a full ride anywhere and you can buy one of each w/ $$ saved.

I was going to say that. When I opened the email I was like WTF? wasn't that in July?.

It'd be cool so get some kind of cruise w/ boosted tuners. I've been looking to see how I stack up w/ an SS/SC anyway (except for patathSS, I know what you run ) cause I really haven't had anything to test the new wastegate against. I did beat my friends v6 tibby by about 1.5~2 cars from 10-80 with lots of wheelspin and spark-blowout on cylinder #1 though.

One nice thing about an srt-4 is that you don't have far to go to get there

Side note, do you know an older guy in the LAwrence area who owns an 04 SRT4? I guess someone with one stopped at our dealership to look at our 300 srt8 on my day off. He apparently said it was stock.

Nope don't know em, I don't even know the guys around here who own em. I've seen a white one where I work all the time, sill haven't met him, seen a silver one going in the opposite direction a few times, same goes for a red one w/ an injen sticker.

alright, thanks, thought I would ask.

We need to organize a cruise between some KC cars!!!! I'd be willing to drive to KC to hang out if it was a Saturday or Sunday night.
