okay, so I guess I can put some helpful information for you buddy. Firstly, "dropping the govenor" aka speed limiter will not give you more top end, it will just increase your top speed and frankly you don't need to be going more than that. What you need is a tune, trifect, hptuners whatever. find a tuner in your area to do this. Before you do that get a nice intake, exhaust, header, use 93 octane. In the future, either s/c it or turbocharge it. that is all the info I got for you.

Nice to see some people can give good advice thanks. I got the intake and replaced the muffler. Will using 93 really make a deference with the compression rate i have? I believe it is 9 to 1 but I am not sure I am still learning.

don't just slap on a muffler, get at least a catback don't want to rice the thing out.. Compression rate doesn't really have anything to do with octane. just burns slower..

he should be tuned with 93 octane, with a LS your best bet is go with a turbo if ur looking to get more than 300, but that still involves some mroe engine work i believe. Brags is currently doing a turbo build and i think he will be getting like 260 after the turbo and then once he gets his engine done up with new pistons and rods he can prolly hit like 300-345. Ur friend is pretty wacky though if he thinks they cant hit 310.. we have multiple members in the chicagoland area pushing 500, i myself should be around 350 once i get my stupid cooling mods
