Well guys, i tried doing my valve springs today. Figured out my tool was all wrong. 20 dollar autozone POS. Wouldnt even compress the springs. So i said **** it, 5 mins ago and ordered a professional valve spring remover tool. 125 bucks ON SALE! So now whoever needs valve springs done. LEMME KNO!

Maybe someone here can help me, I went to the track the other day and was trapping about 110 mph but my best time was 14.0. I only got three runs, i wass also using NLS. I running stock tires is that the problem?

 

traping 110 in the quarter or the eigth? and yes stock tires are a problem if your launching the car and not easing it out of the gate.

SKURUC: If you are trapping 110, what are your 60' times? The stock tires are actually NOT a limitation. I turned just as good of 60' times on the stock tires as I did on the NT-05 and the RT-615, both of which are a 200 treadwear tire. I trap 111 and run 13.05, so your speed is there. Work on the 60' time. Not sure how you are launching, and what track you went to and how the prep was. I am guessing your 60' times were like 2.4 or 2.5?????? I was turning a low 2.1 to a high 2.0 on the stock tires. I launched around 3500-3800 usually, unless the track was ridic prepped. Never launched over 4100, and always rode the clutch out pretty good, not dropping it. Not sure who you are tuned by, and what they did with the torque management, but I actually left mine mostly stock, to help reduce spinning.

 

My 60' was 2.4 somthing, and I have trifecta tune. And my launch is like at a grand or two and I let it roll into, but that's when my tires overspin. I bought hp tuners so if anyone can show me how to work it or tips that would help, but ain't doing anything with that till someone can back me up wit it

 

I would say talk to kriebs about an Hp tuners tune. Then practice launching.
