Yeah, you should be able to do the PCV yourself... not sure how mechnaically inclined you are though. And, if the leakdown test failed, then its prolly the rings. I would still pull the PCV out and test it. Won't hurt, and could save you a bunch of money.
Also, don't take it back to the dealer to get the motor done. We could rebuild that sucker with fully forged internals for less that $5k.

yeah i know. i guess im going to get it back probably tomorrow or somthing so ill probably still come to the meeting.. i just cant drive it hard.. just until we decide what we are going to do.

What other symptoms do you have, besides the oil pushing out of the dipstick? Any oil consumption, any hesitation, smoking tailpipe? You may have mentioned it, but i don't wanna look through the thread for it.

well my car smokes white smoke when i get on it.. and in idle it misfires.. when i go down into first gear itll rev up and stay high about 2000 then go to about 900 rpm in about a half minute. Also when i first noticed the oil spit out of the dipstick i noticed that the muffler i had on the car was blown out thus perhaps causing blockage of the exhaust.

Matt, I will be coming from werks to hooters. Unless you have that day off??
Well, what I don't understand is, how do you know what color your exhaust is when you get on it? Coming from other people, unless they are mechanically inclined, is a no no. If its cold out, again no no. If you got gas with ethanol in it, yet another no no.
If it was a head gasket, then you would get white smoke all the time, not just at WOT. Same with a warped head and a cracked block (even more so, though). Rings do not cause white smoke.
There are just too many variables here to diagnose ONE thing. The leakdown test is probably the most condemning, but I would definitely be hesitant to spend $5k on an engine. Ask for the paperwork with the leakdown results.
I mean, the logic is not behind a bad ring. Bad ring means the pressure on the bottom of the cylinder would be lower, due to it not holding the oil back. The dipstick is puking oil, or popping out, that means there is too MUCH pressure. Whether that be a stuck PCV valve, or too much oil (surely you have checked the oil level?????? please?????).
So, 1+1 is not equalling 2 here man.

hey not to give you **** but try a different dealer or ask them for a specific reading. theres no way in hell every single cylinder is going to read 220 exactly. their should be a little bit of movment. 220 221 220 224 as an example. ask them for exact readings on the leak down test.

rmpro1:
I really think the dealer is ******* with you, or some info is being skewed somewhere along the line. Compression tests are NEVER the same number, not even from the factory, brand new. There should be a ballpark range. With your mileage on the car (assuming more than 0 miles, right? Lol), your rings would be seated into the cylinder walls. Now, no ring will seat exactly the same, causing the difference in the compression test results. Typical results would be (for example, and example only) 217,220,221,219. Something like that, not 220 across the board.
Now, maybe the tech was rounding, generalizing, or whatever (which is a horrible idea, unless you are talking to a clueless teenage girl about it).
I will send you a PM regarding some solutions, sound good? I really think the dealer might be trying to **** you with a $5k bill.

If worse comes to worse I can take ya home, but I figure if someone is running down that way, I will just shoot out on 90. Come to think of it, by the time were done, the interstate is gonna be all clear, so no traffic so it might actually save me time to go back down to 88.
