Midwest Ecotec: Discussion

Yz and Bluebolt didn't speak anything but the truth imo. No one really wants to sit through a presentation and listen to that kinda crap on a friday night. This is a car club so lets keep it to car club topics. AFTER or BEFORE the meet, if you would like to find people who are interested in your stuff then feel free to. But lets wait until the meet is "dead" before you start so that way more people stick around.

ok lets put an end to the pissing match guys......i understand where both of you come from but theres better ways to handle this crap. joe i mean i know your my buddy but lets keep this thread clean because i really dont feel like having a seperation at meets and this **** spiraling out of control. i will say this though......him giving us a small presentation is no different then zach mentioning his tuning a 100 times at the first meet just to throw something in there or if i decided i wanted to mention my detailing 100 times im sure you guys wouldnt like that either. really the only difference is they are car related. im not trying to offend anyone by saying this im simply playing devils advocate.
personally if this is a buisness thing i would mind hearing because i plan on taking my detailing to the next level and making it a business rather then a side job for cash. not everyone wants to pay cash and if it gets big enough i need credit machines and i need more business orientation.
loud ss/sc i think you best bet to make everyone happy is to have the people that sign up for this get there early or we can do this after all the meet stuff has been discuessed. after the meet stuff is discussed everyones free to do whatever they want so i dont see the harm in a little presentation for those who want to sit through it. everyone else can chat and do whatever they please.

This here is why some car clubs are wrecked you have some cockbag that can't take the truth and always starts ****. You don't know me or YZ so **** off! I simply say I'm not intrested your buddy's presentation so ask him to do it before or after so I don't have to sit through it. You claim you're tired of seeing bitching and bickering in the thread yet you fill the thread with this ****. There for I retract my apology of telling you to GTFO and tell you again whole hearted to GTFO I'm tired of your **** and don't want to be your friend You're obviously a piece of ****. Sorry to everyone else but HE didn't want a PM to keep this **** out of the thread like most mature clubs do when they have conflicts on here. Hope to see the rest of you there and make a few friends still.

ALRIGHT ENOUGH!!!!!! you know the more bitching and moaning the less i want to be part of this. you know, this is why i wanted a NON ecotec car club to begin with because i just wanted to find a group of guys and gals who appreciate cars for cars and appreciate the people in the club for who and what they are. having a non ecotec based club would have left unlimited options. i went with the ecotec club because there isnt one around here and people seemed to push for it more and yet all i can see is a bunch of bitching and moaning from different members about different things. theres enough in the thread let alone what i dont see in pms. if you guys wanna argue with eachother take it to pms.......seriously
some other thoughts....... you guys wanna keep this car related? arent you guys some of the people that said they want to get to know people on a personal level as well? guess what not everyone works on cars. some people just enjoy them but couldnt tell you a damn thing about them and will talk your ear off because they wanna know more. some people just enjoy driving but have other interests...should we look at them and say you cant be a member or you shouldnt be a part of this? no we should just respect eachother...
EXAMPLE: sean aka skuruc kept asking me a million different questions about wingless trunks and different parts with the turbocharged cars. now my first opinion was he obviously doesnt know much but why not help him to grow as a car guy? so i talked his ear off telling him about different experiances i've had with this car and why i would choose parts over this and that and why i would do things a certain way. he listened and when it came down to the wire he took my advice. i made a friend out of it and im sure he gaiend some better knowledge from it. so i see him asking about his springs......i took time out of my own party that my family through for me to type him something quick which i still need to proof read.
point being is i was hoping this club would be a good bond between people as well as a good bond between cars. do we always have to talk about cars? no.....having all ecotecs you can only go so far with what you talk about since the majority of us have lsj and lnf cars. i guarentee like on the fourms we are going to repeat a bunch of crap but its in the purpose of infoming people about what they dont know. thats why you never see me tell people "the search is your best friend." i usually just tell people hey look in this section if i dont have an answer from you.
in conclusion.....if you guys wanna argue KEEP IT THE **** OUT OF THIS THREAD. i really dont care to hear you guys say my dick is bigger then yours over stupid ****. i mean we should all just listen to what eachother has to say instead of no **** this **** that. would 20 minutes kill you guys? no! BUT i understand your reasons for not wanting to sit through it and i respect your reasons. after we discuess our main topics everyone is free to go do whatever they want pretty much. i say for everyones sake that we just do this 20 minutes before or after the initial meeting.
one last thing.....i understand we all have different personalities and we are all different. are we all going to get along? more then likely not. i think its just important that even if we dont get a long we try to atleast respect eachother.

wow haven't read the thread in a few days? some presentation going on at the beginning of the meet? are we still trying to meet up on friday? i might not actually be able to show up any ways, have to watch my son, maybe after my wife gets home from work about 10:30 i could show up.. think you guys would still be hanging around that late?

So, here's my thoughts. We got about 50% of the people that don't care to hear a presentation, and 50% that wouldn't mind to hear it. I am sure wherever we meet will have more than one table. We can split up after the meeting details have been finished up, and Dom can do his thing for the people who wanna listen.
Your guy's bickering is really annoying. Sure, I have had my disputes on here, not gonna say any of that was the right thing to do. What I will say is, sometimes people butt heads, but its not an excuse to be hard headed about it and keep at it. Arguments over the internet are like the Special Olympics. Even if you 'win', you're still retarded.
If we want this club to grow, EVERYONE has to cut the silly crap. Man up, and don't take **** personally. We wanna prove that we can have a tight knit club. We want others to say, dang, those guys know their ****, and they all get along pretty well. We don't want people saying, "oh, here comes the Cobalts again."
IDK about everyone else, but I have expectations of you guys when we are out in public. I expect EVERYONE to tip the waiter/waitress, and I expect it to be a normal tip. This is simple respect. I expect everyone to respect wherever we meet. If we're in Hooters, don't trash the place. If were in a parking lot, no burnouts. Things like this will get us disliked in the community, and get us a bad name quicker than anything. I would hope most people have the common sense to figure this out, but lately, its not being proven.

respect when we are out is going to be a huge deal.....like matt said no burn outs in parking lots, no leaving your garbage and so forth. i remember we had this kid come out with my friends and i on a cruise. thought it was an awesome idea to try a doughnut.....welll to sum up the story he came within a foot of hitting my buddies ams and stance sponsored evolution. we had about 50 cars there that night. you know how many of them wanted to come out with us? none really even though it wasent out fault but it left a bad name on our group.
