Why? Air to water is much more efficient, if its a good core. The only downfall to it is that it weighs a bit more than a FMIC. But, depending on how big the FMIC is, then you might be fighting the weight battle with that too. A2W IC's tend to have minimal to no pressure loss across them (again, assuming a decent core is used). I will admit, they are less efficient for a DD, but when you wanna track it, it will be 2x more efficient. You can't add ice to a A2A IC.

i'll be honest i know i'm gonna track my car and that's one reason i like the system.

I was looking into doing an A2W system, but Dave talked me out of it, purely on a weight basis. I mean, A2A is great, and there are things you can do at the track to make them more efficient, like spraying them down with CO2, or nitrous to freeze the intercooler.

so would it be safe to run a global coolant in the system for dd and swap to the iced water for the track?

Is there an ice box on it? I'm not familiar with the ZZP setup. If there is an icebox, just run your ice in there. You would run it just like you would on a supercharged setup with a front heat exchanger.

That should do. The only thing is, make sure to take plenty of ice.
