I almost got the launches down with this thing I just need to figure out the one-two shift I dunno what rpm to shift at to be perfect cus it always bogs a bit haha

Bart I heard 5800 is a good spot, have you tried that? I have teh RPD screen tell me to shift right there and the car works well. Of course a non NLS

 

Ill try 5800 on the 1-2. All the others i shift at like 6000-6200 since m redline is set to 6500

 

Yeah make sure not to NLS that 1 to 2 though. Our trannys cry at night when we do. But yeah take the others up to redline. =)

I know, i generally dislike roll racing, and think its the ***** way out. BUT... I am taking the ***** way out, and taking a break from racing this year. Haven't done anything to the car, and can't afford to fix it if I break it. My lady friend is getting an SS too, so I'll be rocking her car down a strip, haha.

I kinda like the ***** way myself. It evens it out, just shows whose car is faster. I don't mind that. (this coming from an FWD driver. )

 

Or... it just shows who can jump before the 3rd honk. Myself, it doesn't prove much because I am horrible for launching off someone else's honk, and end up giving a slight advantage to the honker. Or most people jump off my honk too quick. I would NEVER put money on a roll, unless I knew for a fact I would get them, or had a 3rd, neutral party to spot any insane jumps.

That said, there are some cocky STI's in town, I am getting pretty hungry for one, since last week I stuck with a 500whp Terminator Cobra from 40 about 90, then we ended up my front bumper to his rear by 110.

I've gotten pretty good at rolls, fairly confident in my ability. People jump from digs too though, and depending on your setup, it doesn't always show driver skill, one setup is always handicaped (I E kid in an evo can get you due to AWD carrying him off the line. Not too difficult to do). Besides, imo, most of the races we get are highway pulls.

I like rolls, take out all the excuses, none of that drag radial BS or preping, just seeing how you can shift your car and how quick it is.

Just my opinion though, we all have different ones. =)

Be wary of how I may kill you when I see you next.
