If your talking about may 3rd at newton, as long as the weather holds and my mustang is running i will be there. I have a grudge match against my dad and his 83 mustang anyways lol.

I plan on being at newton alot this year. I went a few times in the balt, went 2 or 3 times in the stang. Gonna see if i can break into the 8's this year (traction is tough though).

I usually hit the Sunday races in Earlville, get a couple runs in and be home in time for a late lunch. But if enough 'balts hit up Newton I'd take the drive.. I hope to get an 8.99 this year in the 1/8. Closest I got last year was 9.07, just missed it.....

If you hit newton most likely you won't make your 8.99 goal, the traction there is like the street. The best 60ft time i have EVER gotten there is 2.2 (did that in my 2.2 balt and once in my stang). I would be interested in hitting up earlville sometime. I want to go to a 1/4 track so bad! Is there test n tune just like a "fun night" type thing. Were you can just run your regular street car and have fun?

yeah, they don't have the night races though this track has no lights. Here is their schedule Tri-State Schedule
Cedar Falls does though and its a little closer to DesMoines than Earlville, I think. CedarFalls Schedule
Then there is the rumored axel breaking sticky track real close to DesMoines, good for the stang not so much for the Saturn. Eddyville Schedule

Yeah i know about eddyville. I went there in my 2.2 balt. I got good traction there, but was scared to launch real hard so it didn't do me any good haha. Its a bit of a drive from des moines. I wish we had a 1/4 track closer here, my luck my car would break and i would have to call someone to barrow a trailer and have someone run my truck up to me.

I didn't realize Eddyville was an hour and a half drive from DesMoines, wonder why I though it was closer. Looks like CedarFalls is about two hours from DesMoines and Earlville is another hour from CedarFalls. Maybe CedarFalls would be a good 1/4 track for most to visit....

Be interesting to go to the track. I miss my cobalt, even though it was just a 2.2 it was still pretty fun (and got great mpg's). I've been thinking about picking up an SS but insurance would be way too much on it for me
