I'll take some pictures of it soon (dirty right now), but its a Victory Red '09. I've started to debage it but that's about it.
You guys should do a meet NOT on the loop, I'm pushin' 31 years old I have zero business hanging out on the loop besides the obvious BS that comes along with it. Otherwise maybe we could do a couple meets a track or AutoX this year. Later this spring/summer the meets at Wrenches and maybe a couple other places should be starting back up. We're also planning on doing a spring BBQ on one of the "local" car sites.

Sweet, will be nice to finally have a car other people own :P I know pretty much all 5 MKII MR2 owners in town.
I have to be honest, the Cobalt is my beater and my "toy" car is the MR2. I really do like my Cobalt though and I think I made the right choice. I had it down between this, Volvo C30 T5 and a Hyundai Genesis Coupe (2.0T). I finally got to drive the Genesis 2.0T and good god its slow. I can honeslty say I think its a 15.9-16.5 second car. 3400-3500lbs + 180rwhp isn't a good combination. Having a RWD car as a daily driver up here isn't a great idea either anyway. Shottenkirk literally gave me this Cobalt, so that sealed the deal.
I want to mod this car badly, but I also don't want to give GM an excuse to nail my warranty out of the gate. I think I'm going to wait until at least the 12mo/12k mile "no hassle" warranty is over before turning any wrenches on this.
I did disable the Onstar system tho if you want to consider that a mod.

I've never done Fairgrounds before (is that a new venue?), but the Adventureland is one of my favorites. Its a loooooooooong course and some decent speeds. I'm glad Sandpiper is finally gone though, I never did like that place.

You can register day of event OR register here for the March 22nd event:

they do prefer if you can do it online, it speeds things way up.
