the only one i've seen thus far is a black t/c but i have no clue who drives it. i saw a g5 gt this morning drive by but thats the first and last i've seen of it, so who knows. **** mine isn't even on base until this saturday. i'll post some pics up somewhere on the site i suppose since i've done a few things to it recently. definitely wouldn't drive from va to IL... i've done the va-ia drive more times than i can count and i hate it every single time (i usually do it straight through). so as of right now, its just me unless someone else on here speaks up. would love to meet up so i know where the flip i'm going. if you want we can meet in waukegan since the roads in north chicago/great lakes are bad enough to make puppies cry lol

Lol it's ok. I wasn't trying to bust your ***** or anything. I was just trying to explain that buying/selling/trading is just one of many aspects of these big meets. Once the cars are lined up at the meet, people usually always have rims or misc. parts they are trying to sell sitting near their cars.

Does anyone have Any Car Flags (The one you put in your drive and/or passenger window) We could use it for a lead car who knows where there going.
I have been talking to a few people who travel to Chicago from Grayslake almost everyday. They said that the best way to get to Chicago with out hitting any tolls is to take Sheridan and N Lake Shore drive.

Ugh...my vote is definitely not to take Sheridan at all...it would be like cruising down a residential street for 25 miles. the speed limit barely ever dips over 35. It would just be a horribly long and slow route to take. I dont mind paying tolls, but we should at least take a route that's a highway. We should take 41/94 down there and back. That way, we can avoid the 294 toll charges, but still be on a highway on which we can actually cruise. There are pretty much only 3 ways to get to chicago from grayslake. 41, 294, or sheridan road. Sheridan is slow, 41 isn't as new or wide as 294, but 294 charges tolls. If people are that turned off by the $8 in tolls it would cost or whatever....i vote 41. If everybody does take Sheridan...I'll take a different route and just meet you guys there.
Thanks.
I will make a quick route to wacker in all quick postible routes..
41 to 94 - HERE
Sheridan - HERE
294 - HERE
Any suggestions on the routes??? please give

Thanks for taking the time to post that up. This definitely proves my point in regards to the Sheridan route. 1.5 hours for a trip that should take 30-40 minutes, traffic willing. Another thing to keep in mind, by taking Sheridan, we would have to pass through every "downtown" aread in most of the cities along the route...meaning 30-35mph speed limits, and quite a few stop lights. This makes cruising in a big group difficult, and increases the instances of people in the back losing the leaders of the pack.

You dont have to agree with me just because i'm the VP of the car club that you're a member of
In all seriousness though, anybody that knows this area should agree that 41/94 would be the best route for a large scale cruise to the city since 294 costs money and is in shambles.
