Hey everyone, It was nice to meet all of you. Although I have a HHR SS I still enjoyed seeing all of your rides.

Hey thank you to everyone that made it out to the meet.
And a BIG THANK YOU for those of you who helped me making this event a success.
Yes I know the rain sucked but the cruise we did down town on Friday was a blast, too bad we got split up just before the Lower Wacker drive run.

For future cruises, i would agree with what someone said at the hotel that EVERYONE should have their own 2 way radio for cruises. I know everyone has cell phones...but it's hard to dial a number or text on my touch screen while driving. a 2 way radio would be perfect. I think portable CB's would be ideal, but handheld 2 way radios are smaller, lighter, cheaper, and more widely available. Agree on a channel before the cruise, and people in back can radio ahead to see where people are/what exits to take, etc.

Yeah... I agree with Mr. Look-I-Got-an-Evo-now guy (above) . Or at least we should have gotten the cruise route on printouts. Me and other balts got lost before wacker drive so we missed that section

I understand not everyone has a GPS, and paper maps can be hard to read or follow at highway speeds. I'm not very familiar with driving through Chicago at all, but a quick overview of exits and such would help. Also, i think most people wouldn't have too hard of a time spending $30 on a 2 way radio, and that way everyone in the caravan will be able to keep in touch.

My meet timeline lol

Friday Night. Hung out with some other friends at a local pub. Drank like a fish. Get home. open door and dent my buddy's 2007 bmw.

Sat am wake up, I am not hung over so things look good. Text my buddy (PureEvil) and he says it's raining.....WTF?!?

I wait for my other buddy to get to my house before we head out. He arrives and says there is a dent in is BMW(look at friday night) I didn't realize it was me but it had to be. So we get ready and head out.

We arrive in grayslake to meet my other buddy (purevil) with his z28 and I drool at it like usual.

Get to the CED meet at like 9:30 park and start looking at all the balts and quite a nice selection of older camaro's and firebirds.

10:30 here comes the first shower.....My buddy with the z and I along with my other buddy bolt to his car and launch to his house 5 min away. (Side note: I thought some of those guys with the older cars were going to have grabbers trying to keep their cars from getting wet lol) I don't blame them!!!

We hop in PureEvil's g6 gxp and head back to the meet. Like 11am we get back ans smell food.

We go up front and there is a line. We could have waited but we head back to pureevil's place and eat there. While we are there my other buddy with the dented BMW get's a hold of a dent guy.

We finish eating and head back to my place to pick up his bmw but it starts poooooring again. So we wait an hour for the dent guy to come. Another 1.5 hours for him to pull it (175.00 later) .

Head back and the show is rapping up. No cruise due to rain and everyone not up to it including me.

Morale of the story. Lets start planning the next one for later this year so we can do this rite

Tom... thanks for the meet. We all understand you can't control the weather. Was cool to have the 2010 Camero there and the mobile Dyno. The huge engine was a great draw as well.

Will definitely be at the 2010 CED Meet too!

Everything except the weather was fine.
I didn`t get a chance to set the Cruck Brothers ( Scale model HHR`s) up because by the time things got settled in, the wind and rain came.
Maybe a rain check is in order...

It was a great meet, even though I showed up around 3Pm when everyone was gone. Ended up at the hotel with Tom and a few other people here and had a blast.

Printout maps would've been helpful in case someone got stuck on a light. That way we know which way to go and catch up with the crew. It's confusing when someone gets stuck on a light and then doesn't know where to go, and the crew behind will follow and get lost as well.

But yeah, radios would've been helpful.

Pretty sure the MS3 was 245hp/263torq.
Not to offend Tom for getting the dyno but I think if the people took their cars to a shop dyno with fans etc, you'd see a slight increase in power... That ms3 heatsoaked like crazy.
