What's up everyone? There isn't a lot of action around here when it comes to the LSJ. But Lately I've been finding quite a few of us lurking around. So May 18th, Friday afternoon, once everone is off work, we are going to have a get together and small cruise and then a cookout with possibly heading over the MAM (mid america motorplex). I don't want to go too far, so the MAM thing will be a group decision once we all get together. Anyone wanting to come out is more than welcome. All Ion and Cobalt enthusiast in the area or even in Lincoln, NE or Des Moines, Iowa or anywhere in Eastern NE or Western Iowa is more than welcome. You can pm me for more details. I think we are going to use The QT convience store located on Broadway in Council Bluffs as the meeting point and then have a cruise from there getting pictures there and then probably cruise down to my house where we will have the Cookout. Something like that. Let me know!

might have to reschedule for a 2 week advance that way everyone can get time off of work and we can have a big showing. BTW, I live less than 2 miles from the track, so if anyone is wondering why we are grilling at my place, it's so we have less traveling to do when we head for the track. More info to come...

btw, as of right now, I can think of 10 cars right off the top of my head that can be there. So hopefully we get a 20+ showing!

hey guys, i'll be in the area (actually getting married) but i'd be down for meeting up for some pics and hanging out for a bit..... i'll keep checking but please keep me in the loop.... also if its a little earlier in the afternoon that would be awesome!!!

 

i think we will still have a pre meet for anyone that can make it. we will be able to plan the may 18th meet much better plus it'll give some of us chance to meet others lsj owners. i'll keep you posted for more details but its lookin like its gonna be either Friday or Sunday.

 

i graduate that saturday and im having a graduation party on sunday if you guys wanna go up there!! its gonna be an open bar and food and ****... I can go fri but i gotta stay at that party on sunday

my boi got a camera that takes nasty nite shots but he gets off late too so if yall wanna meet up later in the nite thats fine too. oh and here a sample of what that expesive camera can do. keep in mind its 3am in the morning and its dark as hell.

 

Since I've been gone from the area for some time now, I have to ask a possibly silly question: What Track? Did they build one in the Omaha/CB area?

 

The track is Mid America Motorplex right on I-29 at the Glenwood exit I believe. If we are planning on going to the track I kinda would like to bring my Camaro instead, but I can bring the Cobalt if there is gonna be a large showing.

 

There is going to be a mini-meet this Friday also. We are meeting up at the Sonic on Broadway. for pics we are driving up to the lincoln monument and then up to fairmont park.... they are both good places to go and get some shots of our cars overlookin the city......more info to come with time and stuff....

Looks like we are going to meet up this Friday around 6pm at the Sonic. We'll have a small cruise to a nice scenery and get some good pics. Anyone that has cameras, bring 'em. Then we'll go back to the Sonic and eat and that's it. See ya there!

May 18th will be similar, except we'll drive down to Plattsmouth, to my house, and grill out. I'll cook for everyone. Then we'll probably head over to MAM. More to come on the 18th meeting......

we'll try to do the 18th meeting a little earlier, but we'll probably stick around for a while and let everyone show up. I know not everyone will be able to get off of work too early.

guys guys, this is only a mini meet. The big meet will be on the 18th, so if you can't make it this friday, not biggie. But, we will be meeting up and taking pics and then going back to the sonic. So if you miss the small cruise and pics, you can still hang out with us at Sonic. It'll be fun, I don't expect a huge turn out since it's such short notice, I expect the 18th to get pretty big.

Dude i say we at least make it like 8-8:30 so at least neb07, mktrill and my boi can try to make it i know your definitly down, im down, and Red8er from the redline forums is down but 6 is better then three. unless you wanna meet up first and meet up with the rest of the guys at a later time.

 

we can do later, but I was going to try and get pics with some daylight left. I know you guys have that bad ass camera and stuff, but I was gonna get pics with my camera too, and it doesn't do that well with night pics. we got all night though, we can hang out and more people can show up. I was gonna say we can go show force over at abbot and what not too. That's be awesome to have like 6-10 of us LSJ's rolling up in all that action.
