Yea I got that 2007 ss/sc in freeburg as a graduation gift, two days later, I let my friend drive it and he totals it, so its back to its original owner and hes rebuilding it. Getting a 09 ss/tc as a replacement though, same color and everything. Luckily I picked a rich friend lol

Still nothing from the delivery company and he said hes mailing the title out tomorrow, starting to get fed up its been a month since the wreck and everyone is taking for ******* forever. Tired of spending all my money driving my truck around

Yea its going to be sweet, we couldn't find anyone to ship it so im just flying up to pittsburg and driving it back. Getting there at 3ish tomorrow and going for a non stop drive back, should be about 11 hrs, if i dont hit rain i should be fine but ill get tired if its shitty weather.

Got home at about 2 last night, its not running right though. At highway speed the turbo will randomly boost/shut off, sounds like a vacuum sensor or somethin. The seller said its had 87 octane in it and its been sitting for a few months so it may need a fuel filter/regulator. I just dropped it off at a friends shop last night, I don't feel like messing around with it and he can get it done fast. should be fixed by tomorrow or tuesday. God damn this is taking forever lol

 

87 octane?! We use 93...

 

Yea I know, I filled it with 93 on the way back, didn't fix it at all though

 

Hmm, yeah i don't know much about turbo's I wish i did tho... I need to learn.

 

87 is bad. it could also be the tune on the car. maybe it was tuned before and the dude brought it back to stock and didnt tune it back to stock...

 

Our mechanic checked it out, he said that the timing module is messed up along with some fuel regulator module(Dont know details but yea-ecu or whatever controls timing and fuel regulation). He said he could fix it but said it would be much better suited, and free, sending it to the dealer since its still under warranty-and hes friends with a mechanic at the dealer in Sparta, he explained the situation and the mechanic said he'll still fix it if it was tuned prior to now. Not sure what was wrong with the turbo, he said the turbo was fine.

So the whole drive back-only two cylinders were running lol. At least another week in the shop...

Yea I think the engine was modified and the old owner just took everything off and sold it. Or he installed HIDS with stock wiring or something, not sure, don't really care as long as they fix it properly and theres no permanent damage.
