Does anyone around the st. louis area know of any shops that weld stainless steel exhausts? I am planning on cutting off the muffler on my ss/tc and i want a steel pipe welded in and cannot find a shop that welds stainless steel. I live in Collinsville, IL but work in St. Charles, Missouri so anywhere around St. Louis would work. THank you

 

what exhaust do you have they can just weld a strait pipe up where your muffler is unless you have like a hahn that shouldnt be a problem

 

i just have the factory ss/tc exhaust but i have checked a few places and they said they dont weld Stainless Steel only that crappy metal that will rust, and even if i wanted that they said they can't weld it to steel

 

I was actually going to check out a muffler/exhaust place. I hear compare auto in st peters is pretty decent..

i got that shitty metal for my stock muffler it is only temporary but it welded up fine i did it my self im getting the hahn soon

Any shop that can't welded aluminized to mild needs a new welder.

there is a place down in Arnold Missouri that does stainless steel tig welding. he does all custom piping bending and turbo set ups he did my buddies LT1 true dual set up. I'll find out what the place is called and let you know.
