hey there mikey80z... I think I got 2nd place... don't know as they do not post times promptly.... they say they will have results on their website by Tuesday night 10/17.

I don't have the G85 package and had rotated my tires before the event w/ only 5000 miles on the car.... so the front tires were like new and produced huge smoke screens.
I am supposed to get some pics/video .... I'll post the pics when I get them and I don't know how to post video yet.

But when the results are up I will post them for the CobaltSS.net community to see.

Did you Auto-X this weekend? do you run w/ SCCA? Do you have G85? How did you do?

What's up? Yes it was a SCCA event and I do have the G85 package. On some of the tight turns I too smoked the inside tire pretty good. I placed second in D stock behind a pesky Turbo Miata. He got me by 3 tenths of a second. It's such a good time though. It was the last one of the year, can't wait until spring! Although they do have a winter-cross...I think that i'll take the Blazer for that.

WINTER-X that'll be fun.... If it get cold enough up here this year I just might take the SC Ice racing...that'll be a challenge!

Good job Bro. I'm about 40 minutes from Springfield. It's good to see others that drive their cars the way that they were intended to be driven.

If I had the G85 package I could really do some damage to the competition.

Mikey... are you running stock tires? what else do you have on your ride for traction?
just curious....

Nothing. The car is stock right down to the tires. I've been running about 40 psi in the front and 45 in the rear. I did lower the pressure in the rear after one run because and it kept trying to step out on big turns. After that it was fine. I'm going to make some improvements over the winter starting with the clutch and possibly new steering knuckles from GMPP.

yes, I had run 40psi all the way on the stock Rosso's around for my 1st event.... it was ok

the last event I ran 40psi front and 35psi rear and was able to get much better rotation.
that made the car easier to toss between the cones

Thats what i need to happen. I'm just wondering if the stage 2 kit will throw me out of D Stock and put me in a Mod class. There are so many things that i would like to do before next season. The first is the steering knuckles. I'm hearing horror stories about the stock ones breaking.

Hey Mike, honestly bro it's not like you can see stage 2 minus the pulley and I don't know if anyone would notice that. You should be good to go.

Yeah, the person doing the tech inspection almost ripped my fuse box off thinking it was the battery. I had to show him that it's in the trunk. I really want to follow the rules because there are too many people getting by with mods. A little honesty goes a long way in my book. I like to stay competitive.
