I plan on going, I have a couple things that I am going to do to the car and hopefully have it done by the time I go. Question for anyone? I plan on going down without reservation. If I am unable to get a room is there any way anybody will split the cost and share a room.

Event turnout is lookin good so far, I even have a friend coming from portage with an HO powered cav (providing he can get a new head in time) Couple people from kzoo too. Look foward to seein everyone

hey i had a stupid question but...im guessing they rented the track for the 2 days..so does that mean its only for the gm bash and the regular people to the track wont be there,or will all the big v8's and the regs be there with us?

i dont know about friday, but saturday we have the track exclusively until 2pm, then its open to public till 7 for points racing.

 

ahh sounds good, im going down friday after work which is 3, then goin back saturday all day

 

track is private rental from 9am-2pm. show is on friday afternoon, likely to be i mansfield. I'm workin on gettin the old macy's lot...find out monday.

3:00pm - Hotel check-in begins

4:00pm - Gates open at Dragway 42 for Show n Shine entrance/registration. Admission will be $5...regardless of registration

5:30pm - Test N Tune begins. For those interested in gettin some practice runs against the locals, test n tune is only an additional $5. So total of $10 to get in AND race friday night

I'm trying to have a sound competition, will find out tomorrow if the guy can bring his equipment out and set somethin up for us. Everything else is 100% written in stone though.

9:00pm - optional cruise-in with the locals...cruising in packs of 30+ is tons of fun Place being used will be Park Ave "The Miracle Mile" known all over Ohio as the premier spot to go cruise in your hot new ride. (sounds good right?)

WARNING: Sometimes cops are thick...sometime they don't show up. Either way, they don't put up with street racing...do so at your own risk. Just remember we'll be comin back next year...lets make sure we have a good rep so when we come back next year we'll still be welcome.

9:00AM - Gates open at Dragway 42 and runs can begin. The track is ours privately until 2pm. Quick 8 qualifying will begin from the 1st run, and will continue likely until
12:30-1pm. At which time we will call cars by number to the staging lanes to stage for the Quick 8 runs

2:30pm - Trophy presentation


Hotel lot behavior: I do not know how well the balance between us, and Mid Ohio racers/spectators is going to balance out. They may complain a ton...they may come party with us lol. So...just try to be courteous to the other hotel guests as we are NOT the majority at this hotel.

For everyone staying in ashland, watch out becase the ashland police are kinda bad, and right down from the hotels is the sheriffs station is down there, so be careful....ill be out cruising look for me
