It really is sounding like a mystery now. If your inside is dry, then it sounds like the clutch would be fine. But I'm far from a mechanic. lol. Only thing I can think of is a bad line on the slave cylinder or some oil spilled during the change and slid its way down there without burning. I can't find anything else out about it online.

The only thing I can think of is that it's on the other side of the pressure plate.

I guess the only way to find out is to pull the tranny. I just slid under the car and spent about 10min. looking around. I dried the spot off and it slowly starts to show more seepage only between th bell housing and the engine. It's a mystery and it sucks.

but first have a buddy push the clutch in and out to see if that seems moves in and out with the clutch

im trying to research where i saw this before
there is some kind of guide pin/ set pin
or bolts that you should replace because the stock one have a tendency to stretch out over time.. idk something like that.

My wife helped me with it last night, the cyl. was moving fine with no leaks. I'm about ready to take it to the dealer, I'm beginning to think it is the rear main seal.

I would, cuz it would probably void your warranty to even attempt that. Now that you mention it, that is what it sounds like. No other way oil could get down there without a cracked block, which you would definitely notice. Schedule your Camshaft sensor and that at once. I wonder if they'll charge you for new oil? lol.

Yeah, I thought about that. If they ask, I'll tell them it was done last fall. I think it is the rear main seal because the car sat in the garage all winter and maybe the seal dried out. The new clutch could of gave it that little extra disturbance it needed to leak.

my dealer said with my code p0449 the vent valve is not covered but the purge valve is covered, the computer is covered, but the wires and connectors are not covered.
so i replaced vent valve, purge solenoid, and fuses. connectors look good. must be wires, but if i could get that "covered" under evap warranty that would be nice
