Heat Exchanger Pumps...
Guys... Offering this first locally.
It seems that at about 50k -60k the SC heat exchanger pump will fail. This is a Bosch pump and the common problem, as I've experienced is that the motor brushes will wear out around the above stated mileage. Bosch has NO available parts for this pump and from the construction, has no intention of the unit being rebuilt.
Recently I have went to tune three different Cobalt SS/SC cars that it became evident that this pump had failed. To tune properly (OEM calibration WILL pull timing, at a power LOSS!!), this needs to be resolved to tune for best performance.
Thanks to the first "donor", domin8_ gt (Connor) I found a solution to rebiuld this pump at considerable cost savings. I now have another rebuilt and ready to go.
So, here's the deal......
Rebuilt HE pump (I will guaranty it for 1 year!) at a cost of $50. Up front, there will be a $50 "core charge", refundable upon receipt of your bad unit.
If you are in doubt whether your pump is actually working, contact me and I can give you some info to confirm. For the local guys, I will offer to data log with HPTuners and actually show you the IAT2 temps that will confirm the issue.
Not in a "real" business here, bet trying to help you guys.
PM me and we can talk about it.
