INTENSE Drag Day VII Announced.
INTENSE Drag Days VII will be held April 29th and 30th at Norwalk Raceway Park in Norwalk, OH. Official announcements, times, lodging setups and categories will be announced soon. Signups should begin in March. Historically, spring IDD's have had great turnouts with up to 100+ cars and prizes in each category going 7-8 levels deep. Results from last year's IDD VI can be seen here and the other 5 IDD results are available on our website. Make plans now to attend the biggest and baddest 3800 and now 2.0L Ecotec FWD race event of the year!

April in Ohio ?!? There could still be snow on the ground.
7-8 hour drive to from my place. I am gonna see if I can swing the trip with work.
I made this a sticky.

While it is possible, with the way this winter has been its probably unlikely. We have never had a rainout (although we do have a rainout date) and hopefully this year is no different.

Guys and Gals, this is THEE premier race event/facility to attend. Traction will get NO better anywhere else! Great time, great people, and allot of nice cars. Lets make this the premier Cobalt show and drag event and have a good turnout!
I won over 1000.00 in prizes last year myself, i will be there with my Impala and the CobaltSS this year!

I agree.... my good Friend Rob Atchison runs Funny Car IHRA their and he raves about the track condition and has set some ET records there to boot...! Premier Facility is an understatement!! and track prep is next to none!!
For you Canadian (ontario) folks Consider Toronto Motorsports Park a "Baby Norwalk" as a comparison..!

Given the fact there just isnt gonna be alot of modded cars yet , for the Cobalts maybe something like this :
Pure Stock - Virgin cars go here ....right down to the paper filter . Bracket style format . Your car is stock for christs sake , how bout a AEM CAI to the winner
Super Stock - Unrestricted mods . Indexed like the old school EFI NMCA classes , man that class was BLAST to race in...most fun Ive ever had racing , due to the format , Pro-tree . Maybe 12.5-13.0 / 13.0-13.5 / 13.50-14.0 / 14.0-14.5 / 14.5-15.0 Winner gets $250
IntenSSe King of the Hill - unrestricted mods . Run what brung . Heads up pro tree . $500 to the winner .
I have no clue what you guys intend to do for prizes , so maybe my suggestions are a little , errrrr , generous
