I'm new to the Cobalt and was looking to modify it a bit. I don't care about drag racing at all. I'd much rather do a lot of suspension, brake and trany work on the car. I use to autocross with the SCCA in a Civic EG6, but got out of that scene for a while. I moved down to Louisville, KY and picked up a Cobalt LS 2.2. I was really surprised with it's stock power, but going from a Double wishbone suspension to the mcphearson setup is killing me.
Where are some good places around louisville for cobalt tuning?

you may want to check if they can tune the 2.2 first. I think that was the last ecu to be cracked.
Chris, I will try to chop it up later tonight when I get home.

Does automotion have a store front? Or is it a garage? I've heard of tachion around louisville, but don't know much about them either.
A lot of the tuning i'm looking to do will be mainly handling and tranny upgrades. I will do a few bolt ons to help open up airflow, but I'm not really looking to get a fast 1/4 mile time.
I have begun the tuning with a rear anti sway bar from some store up in NY. I will hopefully have that installed before the weekend. I should be getting some springs and shocks in soon as well.
does anyone know who makes a decent lightweight flywheel for the 2.2 cobalts?
The immediate mods that I'm looking to do are (in no specific order):
1. Flywheel
2. Clutch
3. Short shifter
4. Springs & shocks
5. CAI
6. Cat Back
7. Exhaust manifold & A piping
Does anyone know about chipping on the 2.2 cobalts?

There is no chipping... HP tuners is used to reflash the ECU, but I am not sure if the ECU has been cracked.

I've always been a fan of Eibach Springs with KYG Adjustable Gas Shocks. I will have to look into the rest. I'll probably switch out the flywheel and clutch a bit down the road. I'll let the stock one wear down a bit.
Thanks for the info. I'll have to check out automotion.

The great news is it comes with 3 sets of inserts......Carbon Fiber, silver, and red....So I can switch it up.. I just think the red will set them off a little more than any of them or i can just leave them out completely. What do you all think about them. And just because I am prefering red over CF doesnt mean anything. Just sometimes you prefer the brunette over the blonde.....lol
You all going to ride up to automotion thurs? ill be there at 10am

I think that the CF will look better. Seeing how you have a couple CF things on the car it will all come together.
I would love to come up there, but I have to work. If you are still there at 1:30 I will swing by, but you should be done way before that.

Charles should have me done well before 1:30. I am sorta interested in what I put down with the new header/downpipe. I agree about the carbon fiber, but, how much can I have before it is too much. I am almost happy with what I have. Like I said I can alternate between inserts.
