it is on way home to install was getting 35 mpg at 55 mph after install its 37mpg at 55mph. its a less restrictive air intake pipe useing the stock air box.

It's hurting your fuel economy and power without fine tuning for it.

I've always believed minor bolt ons help with mpg and power certainly did with my stang, also...

the first heat was still a little wet and slippery.

On most vehicles yes, but the LNF is very touchy. Just throwing an intake on skews the fuel trims. Even just a K&N drop-in skews the fuel trims.
