I'm in debate to trade the S/C balt in for a nice low mile T/C, but idk if I want to pay for it even longer lol. I think I need to go for a ride in a nice T/C balt!

Can anyone help me out with this?
https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/prob...-inside-93655/
I have the same exact codes this guy has and a cat-back exhaust.
Pretty sure I'm throwing the same codes because of it.
My EMS fuse is also blown, like his.
Fix says:
I don't know where "circuit 5291" is, etc.
Anyone in Metro Detroit willing to help me out?

Fix says:
Check circuit 5291 for a short to ground (STG) at the clutch pedal position switch connector as it might get shorted to the clutch bracket. If connector looks ok, then inspect the 10 amp emissions fuse in the Underhood Electrical Center to ensure it is properly seated.
Note: This clutch position switch connector is there even on automatic vehicles.
Check for a short To ground (STG) at the oil filter adapter housing.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.

I had the same thing happen to me when I put my hahn cat back on. Check your ems fuse under the hood(10amp).If it's poped you have a straight to ground short on youf o2 sensor. Look for bare wire then tape it up.My would do it when I made a right hand turn and the exaust would swing left an touch the heat shield and pop a fuse. Good luck

Your 02 sensor shorted out and the emissions fuse is blown. Tape up the 02 sensor where the wires would contact the heat shield and you should be golden. Ask me how I know

The LNF really is a whole different car though, it's an upgrade in every way and is very much worth it IMO.

And am I taping up the 02 sensor, or the wires that come in contact with the heat shield..?

Most likely there is exposed wires that are contacting something. Just need to seperate the wires and tape them with some electrical tape and postion them away from what ever is shorting them out.

Alan I'll make a trip up there soon, when I have a little extra cash. And I found a 08 T/C with 8k miles on it, but no highrise
Either way, I'll hit WW up one of the next few fridays, someone be out with a T/C lol.
In all fairness my S/C feels like no other with the alum flywheel, plus a guess is about 265whp. I need to line up a stock T/C and do a 2nd roll lol.
