It's a '95 that I am looking at, and yeah I know it doesn't have a ton of power stock, but hey, I will at least achieve my personal life goal of own a Vette before I'm 25! Keeping my Balt though. Don't get a C4 man. At least get a C5, keep saving one and grab one during winter while prices are down. You can get a decent one for $12k.

Insurance might be higher on a C5 for me. Only 22, gonna be 23 in October. It's a nice yellow one with light grey interior and leather seats. Pretty rare one according to that one site. Think it said only 2 were like this one. Guy is selling it for under $12k, with cd/casset player and K&N filter. Gonna try and see it tonight if I can.

I wouldn't mind a C5, but didn't care for how the wheels on them looked personally. If I were to get a C5, I would want to up to the z06 wheels from that year, but wouldn't be able to afford them for a while.

You'll be a lot happier in the long term with a C5 though. Don't rush into getting a Vette. Find the right one for you. I was about to get a LS2 GTO before I found my Cobra, and I can promise you that I'd be kicking myself every day had I got the GTO and then saw the Cobra for sale.

I hear ya on that. I've liked pretty much all of the Corvette body styles to date. I've looked for a C5 that I can afford, but haven't had much luck honestly. If you find one, let me know. Low miles and under $12K would be nice, but I know that combo doesn't work well.

Have a couple friends that just picked up C5 Z06's for under $20k this year. One is bone stock and the other is cammed. Both are around 50k miles.

Just be patient, if you rush into buying the first one you test drive you'll more then likely regret it. Check Craigslist regularly.

Called and talked to the guy selling the 95 C4 Vette. This car is clean! The second owner of the car kept a clip board of every oil change, and ever mile he drove in the car. The thrid owner, guy who owns it now, kept up on the list. This car doesn't even have a door ding, and the wheels haven't been curbed either. Leather seats aren't even cracked at all. Guy basically said it is like new, minus the miles on it. Gonna go see it Tuesday and take it for a spin. Really digging this one personally.

I'm in hiding since I only been driving the cobalt A and B like a regular car... Been auto x'in the boss twice a month which is tons of fun... School/work/g/f(work) and ummm reading the auto x forums more than anything now

maybe if i keep the slobalt another season maybe i'll go E85 for a while who knows
