is there any difference between an 09 ss balt and 09 z06 battery? I was on optima's site and they make one for the z06 but not ours. I looked up dimensions for the balt and the vette and their the same. O'reilys, autozone and advance auto all recommend the same battery for both. I just want a good battery and the mechanics at my shop are all mixed on brands -__- Input? lol

if its the same size, like such in a ford the BXT 96 590 or BXT 96 500 itll fit and work. id say if the battery for the vette is the same as ours that itll work. let me know what it cost. thought of this once mine goes

They ain't cheap, most expensive battery i've found. 189.99 from optima's site, free shipping and a 25$ mail in rebate. It just worries me that every where else says their the same, but optima doesn't. Also the optima one MAY make the trunk carpet thingy stick up as its 3/4" taller according to their site. IDK man. But why would it work in a vette? WHOS GOT AN 09 VETTE THAT WE CAN INSPECT? lol

idk. i dont have carpet in trunk anyways. and i think its about an inch or inch and half from that.what might not work is the belt to the hold down which im shure you could just cut since i have no clue why its there other than for crash reasons

You can use a optima yellow 34/78 used it as my main battery for a while and it now only powers my amp and use the stock battery for starting I have a fully functioning dual battery setup it disconnects when the car is off so you battery doesn't discharge to the other battery. And when you turn your ignition on it links both batteries so you can use both to start your car.

I use a Kinetic something or another. It is too tall, but since it is a gel battery of some kind you can lay it down on its side, and it fits almost perfectly.

Gonna go SC, easier and cheaper. I had some stuff come up in my life recently and wont be able to even start on this for another 5-6 months for the turbo build. I can prolly pick up a full SC kit for almost what I have already put into this project.

Hey everyone. I'm heading up to Lapeer dragway sunday morning. gates open at 10 then Test and Tune from 11-1:30. 25$ to run. after 1:30 it's competition for money and stuff that I'm not doing. Just want a couple runs to see how slow i am. But then heading to Bakers in Milford for a car show right after if anyone wants to go. I'll be at bakers until like 5 or so. Don't know many cobalt people yet so just thought I'd throw this out there incase anyone wants to go.

Ran the same times at Lapeer as other people do at different tracks so I'm not sure why everyone bitches about it. Sure the tracks not amazing but you don't see the guys running 10 seconds complaining.


Anyone interested in audio on here? I have some subs and an amp I need to sell.

Hah, that's what I've heard about it. But 25$ for a few passes and see around how I do sounds reasonable. I might head out to bakers earlier though. I'm meeting up with some SRT 4 friends of mine out there. I'll be the low red SS/SC.
